Had a great day out at Pipa's leather workshop - she was very welcoming, and accommodating as I was trying to book round ever-changing covid restrictions! It was great being able to experiment with all the tools, and I learnt the basics of so many relevant leather techniques that I have confidence in now being able to apply to my own work. Many thanks!
Such a great experience. Having been interested in leather craft for sometime I was given a 1 to 1 lesson with Pipa as a present. Such a great present it was.
The day was spent working through all aspects of leather work, learning so many little tips and tricks that only a true pro would know. Pipa's knowledge is vast but her love of the industry is obvious and her excitement at what can be done and in passing on this knowledge is infectious. Ask the wife, I talked about it non stop for weeks!
The additional book she supplies, is great at help you out on the first steps and is a great resource, which is super useful as I got so into what was being taught that I didn't make as many notes as I wanted. Oh well, guess I'm going to have to do another course with her in the future!
Pipa is amazing, she has such a passion for her craft and it is really infectious! I had such a great time on this course and I learnt so much. I had no experience of leather work when I arrived and I now feel like I know enough to embark on a project of my own. Her resource pack means I have something to refer back to about all the many tools, techniques and leathers that she explained. I highly recommend giving leathercraft a go at the Wolf Workshop.
Had a 1-2-1 lesson with Pipa today, and came back having learnt so much! I have no experience working with leather, but wanted to give it ago. I had a very specific period in history that I wanted to examine, which Pipa adapted the course to suit. Full of knowledge and experience, Pipa is a natural tutor with plenty of patience and no question went unanswered. Had a great time discussing my project and came back filled with confidence I now have the knowledge to tackle it. Thank you Pipa! A fantastic experience.
Went with a small group of friends T=to do the beginner course as few of us had done any more than some very basic stuff. Pipa took us through so many techniques and tools in an unhurried pace so you didn’t feel overwhelmed. She also gave some great tips on what to buy starting out vs what not to. She’s an excellent teacher with oodles of patience. An extremely fun day and we’re already planning to return to learn more.
I had a brilliant day at the Wolf Studio. I do quilting so learning a different skill was a challenge but Pipa put me at my ease straight away and made me feel I could achieve my goal to make a bag. I was taught to dye leather, lacing, hand stitching and punching a design onto the leather and that was just a few of the techniques that I was shown. Pipa is a brilliant teacher who has patience and is very giving in her knowledge. She wants you to succeed. Its for any age group. I am 75 and I made a leather bag.
What a great course. I learnt so much about what to do and what not to do. Workshop is very welcoming and set in an amazing old Mill in Leigh with lots of other artists. Easy to find and park. Pippa is lovely and nothing is too much trouble. Lots of dyes and tools to use and try without having to buy your own. Its a great beginners course.
