Nitasha reviewed: Introduction to MIG welding and metal fabrication with Conan Sturdy, Artist Blacksmith

"If you are looking for an unforgettable experience look no further! Conan is an incredible teacher & his workshop was amazing! I didn't have any previous experience in this field other than having done Art & mixed media at uni & continuing to do art over the years as a hobbie. I like working with different mediums & was really keen to cut, weld & make something I had in mind out of steel! I can't thank Conan enough for sharing his amazing skills & expertise. He helped me learn, create & transform my idea into a stunning creation! I will definitely be going back! I can't speak highly enough of him and his workshop. He is friendly, communication and instruction was brilliant throughout. Even prior to me booking he was super fast at answering and addressing all the questions I had. You will not be disappointed. It was exhilarating, fun and exciting!! I came away feeling lifted and that I had achieved a new skill of how to utilise these tools in the future!"

Conan Sturdy, Blacksmith responded:

"Hi Nitasha, glad you found the day interesting and productive. 🙂"

Rob reviewed: Half day mosaic workshops with Laura Barnes.

"All four of us turned up with no experience of mosaic making…..and no real vision of what we wanted to produce. Laura expertly guided us through choice of subject matter, materials, tools and processes such that we each ended up with a finished piece in just 3 hours. I can recommend this, and by extension, Laura’s other courses to anyone. Don’t imagine you can’t do it, or that it will turn out looking poor. Laura is free with encouragement and compliments. Excellent. Thank you."

Laura Barnes Crafty Fox Studios responded:

"Rob, what a morning! My teaching background certainly helps with timing. All of you turned up with a sparkle in your eyes and were fun and a pleasure to guide through the mosaic techniques. Thank you so much for your review it really made my soggy day a brighter one. Laura "

Janet reviewed: 1-to-1 Beginners Leatherworking Workshop

"This is an ideal, practical workshop to leather working for absolute beginners. This workshop is 1-1 which may seem daunting but it was very much hands on and the day absolutely flew by. We explored how leather can be dyed, embossed, moulded, cut and sewn together. I had the opportunity to use all of the essential leather making tools I might need to begin with. Pippa gave me expert advice which version of these tools would be best specifically for me, how to hold them and use them so I have a better idea what to buy for myself. Pippa also provides a useful list of suppliers for leather and leather workers' tools."

Tracie Peisley reviewed: Lucy Churchill's Stone Carving Workshops

"Ok do this stone carving course first before any others. I have sampled a few in my vertical journey into Stonecarving and Lucy’s was the best because she does things methodically and professionally. If you just want to play at it then choose a free carving course. This will give you the best grounding. And she’s really nice. "
