Kate Walker reviewed: Dressmaking for Beginners

"I enjoyed this course immensely. I loved the fact that you could bring along your own machine or borrow one of the beginner machines to make sure sewing is for you! There is plenty of space for each participant and a kitchen and facilities all on the level with disabled access and parking. All important for me. The team from booking to Marian the tutor are so kind and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. I have to mention the cost too. For 14 hours tuition, refreshments and an included pattern, it is excellent value for money. I like the fact it is over seven weeks and have formed some friendships as well as had something fun to look forward to."

Richard Brookes-Bland reviewed: Stained glass taster day in Worcestershire

"We had an incredible day of making our stained glass. Aside from it being a lot of fun, we learnt a lot and had support all along the way in case we started to go awry. It was a personal setting - the two of us and one other couple, both of us having our own instructor, so at no point did we feel neglected. Plus, a free lunch lovingly cooked to keep us going!"

Kingcot Gallery responded:

"Dear Richard, thank you for your kind words, they are appreciated. Hopefully the day helped know what's what so you can carry on in your own work space - good luck with this, any questions just ask!"

Rebecca reviewed: One day stained glass workshop London for beginners and enthusiasts

"What an amazing day! A huge thank you to Tejal who provided a lovely personal experience in her beautiful studio and really helped me to not only understand the skills, but also to incorporate seaglass I bought with me from my holiday. The day was well structured, and with such a small beginner group size (2), support was provided whenever I need it. Tejal is not only a great artist, but also a great teacher so I felt able to pick the skills up quickly. I am absolutely hoping to go back again to learn how to make a 3D suncatcher next! "

Sharon reviewed: Block Printing on fabric in Derbyshire.

"Very enjoyable day in beautiful surroundings. Liz took the time to get to know us and adapted her instructions accordingly. The day was well paced and relaxing and yet also very productive! I now have Christmas tags and wrapping paper and two tea towels plus instructions for how to do this at home. Lots of tea breaks which is always a bonus! Thank you Liz. "

Liz Wellby - Artist, Teacher & Maker responded:

"Hi Sharon, Lovely to hear from you and thank you for letting me know about your time at The Slipper Studio. It was lovely to spend the day with you all, with lots of fun and laughter. You created some great pieces, especially as you were a first time cutter and printer. It’s a pretty addictive process, so don’t be surprised that your new home will have several handprinted pieces. Best wishes Liz Wellby "

Julia B reviewed: Stained glass panel 2-day course: a 'Quirky Workshop' at Greystoke Craft Garden & Barns near Ullswater and The Lake District

"A fabulous two-day course. Lizzy was an excellent teacher and so attentive to the various demands of the group. Sue Tudge reviewed: Two day stained glass workshop - lead panels or garden sculpture

"Gigha’s workshop space is like an Aladdin’s cave, every inch filled with inspiring treasures. Having signed up for a foil workshop ( which was also brilliant) I spotted the leaded panels leaning against the wall and just had to return. The two day workshop was very well organised. Gigha gives clear demonstrations and instructions and loads of help if needed. A yummy lunch is also included as well as drinks ( and biscuits) all through the day. The 2 days flew by and I am now the proud owner of a beautiful panel. Can’t wait to put it in the garden when the weather improves. Would definitely recommend the course . Brilliant. "

Stained Glass Workshops responded:

"Thank you very much, Sue. :-)"
