An Webber reviewed: Needle felting course with FURZIE at Trumpet Corner Tea Rooms, Ledbury, Herefordshire

"This is a fabulous course for beginners as well as more advanced students. Everyone is given a generous bag with all the tools and materials required to make their designated piece (plus plenty of wool to make a second piece at home). I wanted to make a budgie, which Michelle had not made before. She was so organised she had made a version of one before the course to show me the possibilities including coming up with clever ideas for the claws. At home I was able to use the techniques to fiddle and play and change my bird to further improve his shape and features. The hares, fox, dog, cat, rabbits made in class were of incredible standard. I was really impressed. I would like to do more! Puffin?!"

Michael Waring reviewed: Introduction to Green Wood Furniture Making - 2 Day Course in South Devon

"Fantastic course! The whole experience was better than I had hoped for a weekend of creativity for my 16 year old son and I. Peter and the team operate a very warm, friendly and relaxed operation and are very open with the skills and techniques required for a beginner; keen to give you extra tips whenever possible. The course is still at the forefront of our minds weeks after completing the course and has given us the confidence to try things at home."

Karen baldwin reviewed: Wood turning courses in the Midlands

"After having a days lesson with Mark last year I found that I was still having problems with centering of a cut log and getting a good fit in a chuck. I recontacted Mark who was more than happy to fit me in for a lesson and go over the basics again. This was so helpful and seemed no trouble at all to Mark who was still as patient as ever."

"I can't recommend this course highly enough. Peter and Garv were so friendly and helpful, so we all felt immediately at ease. I've learnt so much about green woodworking and am absolutely hooked. This is fully hands-on and the piece you produce is entirely your own. Time just flew and I can't wait to go back for more. If you get a chance to attend this course, you should go. The setting is idyllic, you will learn a huge amount and you will have enormous fun doing it."

"Quite simply this is one of the best days out we’ve had! From the moment we arrived we felt very welcomed by Ricky and it seemed like only minutes before we were collecting glass from the furnace! Ricky’s training is very personable, one-on-one and paced at just the right speed to keep you working all day! We’re thrilled with the pieces that we made (4 each) and together with the photos they now serve as mementos of our great day! Thank you Ricky!"
