We all produced a lovely mosaic to take home, she gave us all a choice of which template we would like to use before we got there. She was very friendly, helpful and encouraged us all. She had an enormous choice of glass we could use and we all learned how to cut small pieces safely. Would highly recommend 👍"

Angela Van Gelder reviewed: Make a copper bowl

"I bought the copper bowl making experience for me and my hubby to try something different, having always been interested in arts and crafts I thought this would be the next step up. I wasn't disappointed, Lizzie is a great teacher, very clear instructions and demonstrations and lots of hints on how to get the best bowl despite having weakness in my arms and hands. I thoroughly enjoyed the half day session and our bowls are already being put to good use :)"

Ryan Jenkins reviewed: Mig Welding For Beginners Introductory Day Course.

"I took the 1-day mig welding course through my work at Distinction Gardens and absolutely loved it! Tony was knowledgeable, patient, and made the whole experience really enjoyable. I learned so much in just one day and left feeling confident using the equipment (even though Tony may have to tune our own welder in the future 😅). The hands-on practice was great, which allowed me to gain confidence as I continued throughout the day. Highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to try welding or build some practical skills! Thanks again Tony!! 😄"

Sam B reviewed: Beginners Knife Forging Day

"As enthusiasts of the TV series Forged in Fire, I purchased this experience as a birthday present for my husband. We completed the beginner’s knife forging day with Alex, and we couldn’t have asked for a better instructor—especially with this being our first time forging. Alex was high-energy from start to finish, with a great balance of seriousness and lighthearted fun in his teaching style. He’s immensely knowledgeable, and his passion for the trade is unmistakable. That passion also shone through in his interactions with us—ensuring our safety, helping us understand the forging process and tools, and guiding us to create quality pieces we’re proud to have made and will cherish for years to come. I would definitely recommend this class. It was an authentic, hands-on experience, and even with effort required by the nature of it's craft , it was incredibly enjoyable all around. "

Natalie reviewed: Natural skincare workshop

"I recently attended Terry’s Natural Skincare course and it was such a great experience! Terry is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about natural skincare, he explains everything clearly and makes the process feel really approachable, even if you’re a complete beginner. The course was well-organized and hands-on, which I loved. We got to make our own products from scratch and learn about the ingredients and their benefits. Terry created a really welcoming and friendly atmosphere, so it felt relaxed and fun while still being full of useful information. I came away feeling confident to start making my own natural skincare at home, and with a much better understanding of what goes into the products I use. I’d definitely recommend this course to anyone interested in learning more about natural beauty or creating their own skincare products. "

Kathy E reviewed: Lathe turning for beginners with Thompsons Wood

"Very enjoyable 1:1 "Lathe Turning for Beginners" workshop last week. Jake had prepared a lovely blank for me to work on (Sapele and Maple) and guided me through the process of making it into a bowl. I also learnt how to inlay copper wire into the rim. Very pleased with the final piece - the bowl is super smooth and finished with beeswax, which really brings the grain out. All in all, a thoroughly absorbing session - Jake provided me with just the right level of input. "

Jo Kelly reviewed: Beginners 1 Day Traditional Stained Glass Course

"The workshop as a birthday present , I was the sole attendee and had 1-1 tuition. Gill made me feel very welcome from the off and the day ran like clockwork. She is a passionate and extremely talented artist who loves to share her skill and knowledge with others. The day began with coffee and a run through of the tools used , the process involved and then having looked at the selection of the stained glass ideas available , I made my choice..... a bird on a branch. At every stage Gill offered advice and assistance. She is totally professional and ensures your finished item is a success. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and have recommended the course to all my crafting friends. "

Gill Rogers responded:

"Many thanks Jo for your wonderful review and it was such a pleasure to spend a fun day together. Hope you enjoy displaying your beautiful bird and hope to see you again sometime in the near future! Best wishes, Gill x"
