Andrea reviewed: Art Spoon Carving with Giles Newman

"A great day learning the skills of spoon carving. Giles is an excellent, patient, warm and kind teacher. The class was relaxed, as he taught and guided us through both spoon carving and the safety of working with sharp tools. I learnt a great deal, throughly enjoyed my day, in this calm and relaxed atmosphere. Took home my spoon to finish off. Giles expertise, great enthusiasm for wood and carving, and his gift of sharing his skills and answering any questions, was at the forefront of the classes, a great guy and I would throughly recommend. Lucy reviewed: Crafty Basketry's Weaving a Foraging Basket - Improver's Day Course at King John's Nursery, Etchingham, East Sussex

"My husband and I had a wonderful time on the 1 day course with Marianne. The setting was beautiful and very peaceful(a little chilly so do make sure you have plenty of layers!). Marianne was very kind and attentive to our needs. She was so patient as she explained and re-explained instructions as needed. She was a wonderful hostess, providing snacks and hot drinks throughout the day. We came away at the end feeling very accomplished and thrilled with what we had made. So lovely to learn a new skill - basket weaving is a wonderful way to completely switch off and give your mind a break from your worries. Highly recommend and hope to return for another session. Thank you Marianne. "

Jeremy reviewed: Welding with confidence

"I have never welded before and wouldn't know how to start, but I wanted to have a go so I enrolled on this one-day course. By the end of the day I had done many different kinds of welds on different thicknesses of steel and some were even half decent. Nigel is one of a kind - a blend of Fred Dibnah and Guy Martin. It was a most informative and entertaining day. Thanks."
