Christine Pendlebury reviewed: Upholstery for Beginners Workshop - in Warrington, Cheshire

"Feel there were too many people for the room available. Unable to sit comfortably at the table. And limited room to work. Joanne was very accommodating, friendly and professional. I particularly liked the way she included everyone when using our work as an example for each stage. Uncomfortable that one person had a chronic cough which was worrying which I understand was difficult to do anything about"

The Boho Shed responded:

"Thank you for your feedback Christine which I will definitely take on board. Although the room is set up for ten people, a appreciate you were at the bottom end where people were passing to collect paint, bun feet etc. I will consider moving these items to a different area in future. In any case thank you for your kind words regarding the teaching of the workshop. "

"What a fantastic weekend! Marks help, advice and above all patience made the experience fantastic. I achieved a far higher quality box than I was anticipating as I am definitely not a craftsman. I would highly recommend this course to everyone regardless of skill level. Hopefully I will book another course with Mark in the future. "

Carolyn Barker reviewed: Introduction to Lino Printing in Cambridgeshire

"Judith is a superb teacher. 5 decades on from when I last did any lino printing I could not imagine how I could produce a print in one lesson. Judith is a highly experienced artist and teacher. She guides and teaches technique in a really clear and concise way, and has a really friendly easy way about her. Thank you for opening up a new skill to me. Very uplifting. Can’t wait for the December 3rd class. "

Christine Alger reviewed: Slate mosaic workshop at Jo Garden Art

"A lovely day spent creating amazing slate art. Jo is a wonderful inspiring teacher with bags of patience! I would recommend anyone to do one of these workshops, set in beautiful surroundings in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. If you take part in a workshop, you also have the opportunity to purchase a kit to take home. They are amazing value for money. A small warning though.. one workshop is not enough, they are addictive and you will be back for more!!"

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Christine - I'm honoured you keep coming back to the studio! Have great fun with the slate kit - you took some lovely materials home and I'm sure will create a fabulous new piece for your home. See you in January! Jo xxx"

Tony Clark reviewed: Woodturning 1 Day Beginners Course in Berkshire

"I attended the course with Liz and found it to be a really great day, despite working with wood for quite a while this was my first try on a Lathe, Liz was really patient with the 4 attendees as we were all at different levels, she explained all of the health and safety and then oversaw us all whilst we attempted to follow her lead. At the end of the day we were all able to take away the bits that we had made, which actually resembled what we had set out to create, i would not hesitate to recommend this experience, it was great!!"

Love Heartwood Turning School responded:

"So pleased you had a good day Tony. If you need any advice with your lathe or tools just get in touch."

Zoe reviewed: Rounded and backed books

"I loved learning in Anne’s calm and roomy workshop, feeling absorbed and relaxed, learning by doing loads. I made a book! I’m very pleased. Hubby is impressed too. I want to learn how to make a box for it and will make a temporary dust jacket until I’ve returned for Anne’s guidance. Meantime, I’m going to reattach the cover and spine of a favourite cooking book. I know now what to do and that I can if I focus. Ace!"

Bircher Common Press responded:

"Thank you Zoe. It was my pleasure."

Alison reviewed: Two day (consecutive) stained glass starter course at North Norfolk Stained Glass

"I was an absolute beginner and Paul led us through each process carefully and kindly. He was very knowledgeable, clearly well trained and made sure we all came away with a piece to be proud of. It was challenging for me to tackle something very new and physically surprisingly quite demanding, I was delighted with my piece and have felt a real sense of achievement. Paul also looked after us very well and kept us sustained with food drinks and chat. Very many thanks."
