"What an amazing day! Phil is a great tutor, everything was explained clearly and easily which really gave me and my father confidence. Nothing was rushed and the advice just kept coming. I would really recommend a day with Phil to anyone regardless of their experience, he is a fountain of knowledge. Me and my father can't thank Phil and his family enough for a really great day!"

Nick Keenan reviewed: no longer avable

"Must say I had the most wonderful day at Jane's place. After a warm welcome myself and the other Raku virgins settled into a relaxed, informative, busy and very productive fun day, producing work which we were all very proud of. My introduction to Raku was an eye opener, I loved it and would highly recommend Jane's course to anyone with an interest. I am now looking forward to my next visit to one of Jane's Pottery courses. Thanks Jane."

Tony Elliott reviewed: Woodcarving and pyrography

Sally Turnbull reviewed: Free-machine Embroidery Workshop with Dawn Ireland

"The course was most enjoyable, with just the right amount of instruction to enable students to produce their own pieces of work. Dawn was encouraging and made me, as a beginner, feel at ease. She provided a good workspace with loads of resources and also plenty of drinks with a gorgeous cake. I left feeling inspired and have been producing pieces of work for birthday cards at home. I would thoroughly recommend the course."

Mary Kindred reviewed: 2 Online Felt Picture Courses - Summer Storm & Raindrops on Roses

"A very enjoyable course with enthusiastic and empathetic tutor. Very good venue, detailed directions, practicalities handled well etc. Lots of demonstrations and learned new techniques. As a part-time artist, fitting in creative projects around full time work (former art teacher) I feel v frustrated not to get the same subtlety of effects through feltmaking as I might in watercolour or acrylic. It is going to take time to master this medium!"

Chrissy Blkeman reviewed: Pottery making party in lovely seaside studio

"My sister and I attended a full day workshop. Jenny gave us lots of options and design ideas and we were able to have a go on the potters wheel and to hand build pots. She took us through each stage and was fun and inspiring and coached us through the processes until we had made our 'masterpieces'. We were given refreshments throughout the day and a very nice lunch and came away feeling relaxed and satisfied with our efforts …. and surprised at what we had achieved! A special day. Thank you, Jenny!"

HELEN STARK reviewed: A snip of decoupage - beginners' workshop

"Welcomed at door by Carol would I like a tea or coffee. Shown into workroom already laid out for 4 Small numbers so lots of one to one Introduction to decoupage and the history all materials supplied and explained. Would have been useful to have been asked to bring a hairdryer as the PVA takes time to dry and only one in use by us all. Did not get to use the resin as we ran out of time but managed to finish project with just the varnish to do at home. Easy to find venue and parking on side street Would recommend to friends and would attend again."

Marisa reviewed: Crochet for Beginners (Adults) in Putney

"My mum tried to teach me how to crochet but for some reason I just couldn't do it, it felt like I had two left (clumsy) hands. I tried Youtube tutorials but it sounded like a code language to me. I'm happy I didn't give up, though. After four hours of learning and practice, I left Sowmya's place with a lovely granny square made with my clumsy hands! With her talent and patience, she helped me decifering this (apparently) complicated language and opened the doors to the wonderful world of crochet. First thing I did when I got home: start another granny square and now I can't put my hook down. Sowmya was adorable, very kind and welcoming, offering us delicious refreshments and putting us at ease. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to start from scratch or just needs a few tips and tricks for a new project."
