About the Course

These bespoke jewellery workshops are lead by established jewellery designer Sheila Kerr. Sheila welcomes small groups (up to 4) into her professional jewellery making studio regularly.

With 29 years experience of teaching Sheila knows what she is doing! Several techniques will be explained and you will leave the workshop having made your own hand-crafted piece to one of Sheila's own bespoke designs.

This workshop will have you taking away a Sheila Kerr original design - this beautiful wire wrapped ring made in your own ring size with a choice of stone/bead included in the price.

The workshops are ideal for hen parties, group visits, birthdays, hospice visits and any kind of fun and crafty outing you may be planning in Irvine or the Ayrshire region!

Sheila's studio overlooks the beautiful harbour area and is ideally located for anyone visiting the Ayrshire coast on holiday and looking for things to do. The courtyard studios also house a gallery and arts centre which most students will want to take a look in. A nearby 18th century pub offers a great lunch for those students who have built up a good appetite during the course! There are several coffee shops/tearooms for those who prefer home baking and a more traditional fare.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

What's included in the price?

All tuition, tools and materials to make your jewellery piece are included in the price. Refreshment and cake stop is obligatory!

Loved this. Came on a girls weekend with my mum. So nice to have made something together and to have a bespoke ring for mum.

Hi Fiona

Thank you for such a quick response! I’m so glad you enjoyed the course and like your rings too.

I enjoyed your company and all of you participated really well considering it was your first jewellery making experience.

Kind regards

We had a lovely time for our first wedding anniversary doing our wire ring wrapping. Sheila is clearly very talented not just as a jewellery maker but also as a teacher.
I have received so many compliments on the ring i made which makes it even more special.

Thank you for taking the time to review my workshop.

It was really enjoyable showing you both how to create the ring and particularly as it was your first wedding anniversary.

I’m also very pleased that you are wearing your ring.

Thanks again.

A small interactive, engaging and fun workshop.
The attention to detail and the individualsed interventions where well done.
I would recommend this course
