Neil Young reviewed: Making a stained glass leaded panel

"I've just attended the Making a Stained Glass Leaded Panel workshop with Caryl. The course was very interesting and Caryl was extremely supportive on the day, helping with aspects of the design and construction of my leaded panel, giving lots of tips and insight and also being very understanding of my allergies by providing all the safety equipment I could need, making my day very comfortable. I would highly recommend Caryl's courses, she is a talented and passionate artist which is evident through the enjoyable course she delivers and the lovely glass panel you can take home at the end of the day after a bit of work yourself."

Furzie course Pauline reviewed: Needle felting course with FURZIE at Trumpet Corner Tea Rooms, Ledbury, Herefordshire

"I loved this course- you get so much packed into a short time and I love the hare that I made. I have learned something really useful and would like to attend another workshop in the future. Michelle is a great teacher and has a good sense of humour ( Think Jo Brand? hope that is not offensive Michelle!). The course is excellent value. The cost includes a take home kit and all the materials . You also get coffee, lunch and tea or coffee and delicious cake in the afternoon. The environment is lovely at the Trumpet art gallery as well. Would highly recommend this course."

"It was a lovely day. Michelle is a great teacher and even I (not at all artistic) made a lovely hare, which I was proud to take home. It has had some good reviews from family and friends and I will definitely be doing more in the future. Thank you Michelle for all your patience and help."

"Brilliant day - thanks to Tory and Michelle. Very friendly and relaxed and taught us so much. Now have the confidence to start putting the techniques into practice. Jacquie Keelan reviewed: Making a stained glass leaded panel

"I've just completed a one day introduction to stained glass, making a lovely panel. As a complete beginner, this course was an excellent introduction to stained glass lead work. Caryl's easy going manner and friendly approach makes the day especially enjoyable. She is very knowledgeable and supportive, ensuring that you are not only learning and developing new skills, but also able to explore your own design ideas and apply these ideas to the process. I would thoroughly recommend a course with Caryl and will definitely be coming back for more! Thank you Caryl for your patience today - I had a fabulous time."

Mike & Andrea reviewed: Pottery / ceramics / wheel throwing full day

"What a fantastic day with Lorraine. A very warm and friendly atmosphere fully conducive to learning the wonderful techniques of pot throwing and hand building. There were only six of us so every one got plenty of 1-2-1 time to fine tune our work! The pottery was teamed with some demonstrations and historical background info too which really brought it all together beautifully. There is plenty of time to make several pieces and even four pieces on the wheel too. Loads of refreshments and yummy home made cake too. I've done a few craft courses and this one is definitely the best yet by a country mile (and the others were brilliant)! The value for money is exceptional and we'll definitely be coming back to try out more of Woodsetton Art Pottery courses."

Margaret Underwood reviewed: Techniques & Tools Workshop

"Having been on a number of Emma's courses I would have no hesitation in recommending this and any of her other courses. They are fun, inspirational and will get you hooked in no time. Emma's general relaxed approach means there is time for everyone to learn at their own pace and never once have I seen anyone not able to produce something to be proud of. Probably one of the best ways to spend a day I know!"

Mitch and Nathan Blair reviewed: Wood turning tuition, New Forest, Hampshire (1 day) (2 people)

""Look what we made" That was how we greeted my wife after we returned from a most fabulous workshop with Graham. He was immensely patient and very thorough and my son and I learned a great deal about wood and how to handle this amazing substance. We produced two very lovely bowls one in tulip wood and one in maple worthy of show in our houses. Graham and his wife were wonderful hosts and we enjoyed a lovely sausage lunch which was a bonus and unexpected . Thanks so much. I shall be returning to make a pen!"

Patient, friendly instruction. Highly recommended."

Richard Willis reviewed: Woodturning in Devon with Colin Simpson

"I received a 1 day course Colin as a present for my 65th birthday. Having carried out some woodturning following a course some 20+ years ago and then not using the lathe for the last 6 or 7 years my techniques and confidence had been lost. Colin has restored my confidence and updated my techniques. He is an excellent Instructor who is able to discuss options with you and customise the course content to allow the student to gain maximum benefit from the course. I have no hesitation in recommending a course with Colin and look forward to being able to book another course to develop new skills with Colin's excellent tuition. Thank you Colin and the notes provide handy reminders."

Fiona Oakley reviewed: Two-day Silkscreen Printing Course: Design and Print Your Own Fabric £170.00

"I've been meaning to leave a review for the course I went on in the spring. I had a fantastic weekend learning the art of screen printing with Caroline. Not only does she offer great advice and tutoring, she offers a warm welcome. I was nervous about my lack of creativity but Caroline soon made me feel at ease so that my ideas could come through. Her studio and home are beautiful and our little group enjoyed numerous cups of tea and cake with chatting and laughter and also devoured delicious lunches cooked by her husband. I am a vegetarian and was catered for wonderfully. I really would recommend Caroline's weekend of screen printing course to either a beginner or someone with more knowledge. The surroundings, food, people and experience were definitely worth every penny. Fiona"

Aine Kelly reviewed: Wire garden sculptures - Geese with Susan Nichols :a 'Quirky Workshop' at Greystoke Craft Garden & Barns near Penrith and Ullswater

"This course is fab - I had no idea what a large and lifelike goose I would be making. I also thought mine would never look like the course leader's model. But it does. I am so proud of it and love having it in my garden. The course was extremely well managed, great fun and totally absorbing. I plan to do more."

Gill George reviewed: Bud Vases & Tea Lights in Porcelain with Gwen Bainbridge: a 'Quirky Workshop' at Greystoke Craft Garden & Barns near Penrith and Ullswater- Cumbria

"This course was a retirement gift to push me outside my comfort zone- I have never been known for any artistic ability! I had heard so many glowing reports about Quirky Workshops. Gwen was a legend, patient, reassuring, completely understanding about my need to have everything explained several times! Other course members had some artistic skills and we were all able to produce finished articles at our own level. I loved the different techniques we learnt for creating patterns on porcelain- I had only previously used clay at school. My husband was amazed to see what I had produced. We were also well looked after with tea, biscuits and lunch, a real treat. I would recommend anyone to have a go at a Quirky Workshop whether you are experienced or not."

Victoria Slade reviewed: Techniques & Tools Workshop

"I've been lucky enough to do a few felting workshops with Emma and her skill as a tutor as well as a creator of lovely things really sets her apart. You really do learn the techniques you need to go away and get all creative - and take away creations (and creatures) which are recognisable which is no mean feat in my case. But a word of warning - her workshops are addictive!"

Jane Greenwood reviewed: Bud Vases & Tea Lights in Porcelain with Gwen Bainbridge: a 'Quirky Workshop' at Greystoke Craft Garden & Barns near Penrith and Ullswater- Cumbria

"I LOVE this workshop! I have worked in Art & Design all my life, but with very limited experience of ceramics. Gwen is an excellent and patient tutor, who has been able to help my naturally clumsy self to develop some skill in working with porcelain (I need a lot more experience though!) Greystoke Cycle Cafe is a lovely venue - and the refreshments provided throughout the day are wonderful. I would highly recommend both Gwen's workshop and Quirky Workshops at Greystoke to anyone interested in Arts and Crafts"
