Karen Williams reviewed: Felt Trilby or Fedora - Millinery Workshop

"I spent a wonderful day with Virna she is very talented and extremely passionate about her craft, her studio was very welcoming and the atmosphere was very relaxed. I learnt lots of new things at the workshop which has really helped me to improve my headdress and millinery skills. I would not hesitate to join Virna again at workshops in the future . I cannot recommend this young lady enough, she is amazing."

Rob Lane reviewed: Wood turning courses in the Midlands

"I was looking for a new hobby in retirement and I don’t need to look any further! What a great day I had with Mark. We spent over an hour at the start of the day talking about turning equipment, types of wood, authors etc. Mark was extremely informative and engaging, I’m not sure where the time went. When I did begin my first ever experience of turning Mark was a great instructor, letting me get on with it, but always there to advise and put me back on track. Mark is very easy company and relaxed about finishing times. I can’t recommend the course highly enough for anyone considering taking up turning. Thanks Mark."

Kay Barnsley reviewed: Silverclay beginners jewellery workshop in Newcastle upon Tyne

"Had a lovely afternoon with Claire learning the basics of silverclay jewellery. I contacted Claire through Craft Courses and she kindly arranged a course at short notice that fitted with my availability. Claire is friendly, informative and very helpful. She explained all aspects clearly and I managed to make some lovely pieces with Claire's guidance. I would thoroughly recommend Claire's course to everyone. Claire sent me away with helpful literature and an offer to contact her should I have any questions if I do more silverclay work at home. Thanks again Claire."

John Jones reviewed: Basket making for beginners using traditional willow basketry techniques

"A really good day in a relaxed atmosphere with great tuition and help from Jon to make the basket. Lots of steps and different techniques to learn and use, and hopefully remember next time I want to make one on my own! The home made lunch provided was really good also and not to be missed. I would definitely go back again to learn how to make various other items that I see on display while there."

Johanna reviewed: Box making weekend in Cumbria

"I cannot recommend this course enough. I am a serial crafter/learner but I have never done anything as brilliant as this. My partner and I are total novices and were both excited and apprehensive about the course, having not done any woodwork since our school days. Richard and Mark completely put us at ease and were so patient and supportive throughout the course. I can't believe how much I learnt and it has certainly given us both the bug to do more. The boxes we made are so beautiful and unique. Absolutely loved it, no better way to spend a weekend!"

Chris W reviewed: Leather Possibles Pouch Workshop

"I'd highly recommend this course, absolutely fantastic. Both Wendy and Clive were super helpful and very patient with our onslaught of questions, which they always had an answer for! I've done craft work in the past and meddled with leather before but I still learned a vast amount of new skills and got an opportunity to try new tools I'd not be able to without investing in them myself. Worth every penny!"

Evancliffe Leathercraft responded:

"Thank you for the review. Great to hear you enjoyed the workshop and learnt new skills even having had some leatherwork experience before."

Chris hoare reviewed: Mosaic workshop at Jackie Nash Art

"As a community activist I hope this allows me to speak for the residents that live here. Some time ago I came up with the idea of a community mosaic. Jackie Nash was recommended to me by someone that had been to a workshop. What a surprise, nothing was to much trouble to Jackie for beginners like us; everything was explained, how the piece would work etc. It was without doubt the best workshop we have ever done. We as a community are now busy doing our own mosaic. Thank you so much Jackie."

Deborah Jones reviewed: One to one throwing sessions

"The lady who took the class was very welcoming, and was interested in what we needed from the course. I enjoyed the throwing session very much, and was also shown other techniques. There was good correspondence regarding how to get to the venue, where we could park and eat etc. I would definitely book another class. The environment where the studio was based is inspiring and in a comfortable setting."

Karen Dawn Curtis responded:

"Hi Debs, Thank you so much for the review and so very glad you enjoyed the day!! It was a pleasure to teach you and Louise. Your work is drying nicely and I look forward to firing it. Kind regards Karen"

Tiago reviewed: Alien spoon carving

"The day goes by fast and by the end of it I was holding in my hand something that resembled a soup spoon. I went from looking dumbfounded by the log of green wood and axe in front of me to confidently (maybe a bit too confidently) slicing the back of the spoon bowl with the guided-pull knife grasp. Alan teaches by providing the learner with the essential types of knife cut one can do with a straight knife and a hook knife in order to get nice spoons. Towards the end he also showed us a bit of chip carving. Food is provided along the day. Alan also follows up the course by sending you some PDF files with how to finish your spoons and where to take your newly learnt craft to higher places. I was impressed by the course. Highly recommended!"

Karina Holland reviewed: Making Scrumptious Scatter Cushions - Small Group - 2 day Workshop - York

"I have been on a number of Jacqueline’s courses and loved every one so thought I’d give this one a go too! It was perfect - I got to be very creative in using left over bits of material from previous course I had attended. I love how my pillows now match my lampshades. Jacqueline was great at finding a way of using all my little bits and bobs of fabric and trims in the best way possible! Thank you so much Jac - yet again a fabulous weekend!"

JSInteriorsUK responded:

"Ahh yes Karina, we don't throw anything away. All the scraps from window treatments and lampshades are fabulously important as they can bring a whole room scheme together with a few scatter cushions. Your cushions are gorgeous, well done you!"
