Lois Fleming reviewed: Make a silver ring or bangle

"What an amazing day! My daughter and I visited Lucy as complete beginners but still came away with a beautiful set of stacking rings each. We were made to feel comfortable and well equipped in our learning and felt inspired by Lucy's and our own creativity. Our second visit will be booked shortly and we look forward to making some bangles!"

Louise Swift reviewed: Outdoor mosaic workshops - 1 day with Rachel Hyde at Creative with Nature studio Todmorden West Yorkshire

"Loved it! First time doing Mosaic and both my mum & I managed to make 3 house numbers in our day, Christmas pressies sorted! It really was torture to have to stop! The cellar proved a treasure trove of extra bits & pieces of broken bits, which I preferred to the factory squares we had to begin with. Laura was great, let us get on with it but there when we needed her. Loved it, and would love to do it all again!"

Creative with Nature Ltd responded:

"brilliant! well done and thanks for leaving a review. xx"

Clare Walsh reviewed: Saturday Silver Clay Jewellery Workshop at Ransom's Pavilion, Hitchin 9.30am - 12.30pm

"I really enjoyed the silver clay workshop I did with Tuuli and one other participant on Saturday 23rd November. The atmosphere was really relaxed and with Tuuli's guidance, I managed to produce three pendants which have been praised by everyone with whom I have shared images. I plan to get all three engraved to give to family members as Christmas presents and will definitely be signing up for two more workshops in the New Year!"

Tuuli Parker responded:

"That is so lovely to hear! I'm so glad you enjoyed the workshop. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review - see you in 2020!"

Ed Brooks reviewed: Wood turning courses

"I have always liked the idea of woodturning and thanks to George it is now a reality. The day I spent with George was time well spent as George really knows his stuff and is able to transfer that knowledge in a clear and concise way so you do not get bamboozled. There is quite a bit to learn but you get to do it in stages so you never overstretch yourself and always remain safe. Woodturning may not be the cheapest hobby to get started with but it has a value and satisfaction in time well spent, producing something beautiful out of a rough lump of wood. Thanks George, I wonder if Santa could get a lathe down the chimney?"

arvid raeymaekers reviewed: Bladesmithing experience day

"I'm a fan of Stephen's work on facebook and instagram. Therefore i travelled from Belgium (Antwerp) to Southampton. I'm an experienced metal en wood fabricator (milling, lathe work, welding, construction, designing and I studied for luthier). Stephen coped with this in a way to keep everything more than interesting. He has a good feel for people and is a skilful craftsman. He sets you in a direction but he leaves more than enough room to do your own thing, so at the end it really is your personal manly man's chef's knife or elegant and lovely peace of art chef's knife. It gave me a big boost of energy and now I'm thinking of setting up my own forge and anvil. I learned a lot and had a great time, Hope to see you again next year. With kind regards Arvid"

White Tiger Knives responded:

"Hi Arvid Thank you for your kind words, it's very gratifying to hear how much you enjoyed your two day course with me. Your skill and ability were evident right from the beginning and I could see how comfortable you were working in the shop. This showed it self in that lovely faceted holly handle you made for your knife. Get that anvil and forge up and running as we discussed and you'll be well on your way to making your own knives. I'll have to come over to Antwerp to your shop for a two day course with you then. Kind regards Steve"

Rachel reviewed: Introduction to Inkle Loom Weaving Workshop, Seeded, Southsea

"I attended the same course as Catherine at Fisherton Mill and totally echo her review. The group is small enough for individual attention from Ellie, but large enough to get a wide variety of weaving. My head is now so full of ideas I don’t know where to start! Fabulous day - will definitely book again with Ellie."

Elka responded:

"Hi Rachel, sorry for the venue mix up! Thank you so much for the lovely review. Really glad you enjoyed the workshop and do just shout if you need any pointers. Best wishes and happy weaving! Ellie."

"Had a fabulous day. Adrian and Andy were brilliant and Debbie put on a fabulous spread. It was really interesting and hard work but completely worth it and every penny. "April is a fantastic teacher, we made Santas and Elves today, we were able to be as creative as we liked and the day flew by with lots of fun and laughter. Nadia reviewed: Knitting for Beginners

"I used to knit when I was at school but I had forgotten everything. So this course was perfect for me as I could go right back to basics. I quickly remembered why I used to enjoy knitting so much. It's really relaxing and I have found myself knitting in front of the TV and on the train. I really love it! Knithub 24 is a great school - it's in a good location and the teachers are really nice. I will practice my new skills a bit more and then go back for the intermediate level. If you're thinking about learning to knit, just go for it!"

Knithub 24 responded:

"Great to meet and teach you, Nadia! Keep practising your knitting and we hope to see you again soon :)"

Diana Hargreaves reviewed: Mosaic/chat/create! with award winning mosaicist Emma Abel

"Emma is an excellent teacher and a superb mosaicist - her body of work is breathtaking and such an inspiration to a novice like me. I have done two workshops now and am signed up to a weekend in January. It is indeed addictive! The workshop is a creative space with an extensive range of scrumptious materials. Most importantly, however, Emma imparts her expertise with precision and patience and is clearly passionate about her craft. I am thrilled with my two ‘masterpieces’, especially with the second - a special 70th birthday present for my friend, the design of which was enhanced by Emma’s eye for detail. I would highly recommend anyone giving mosaics a go with Emma."

abelmosaics responded:

"Thank you Diana, your comments are much appreciated and it is a pleasure helping you achieve your very creative mosaics! Before the next workshop, think about your preferred Fish species/shape/colour eg you may not want a Barracuda in your Bathroom .... ?"
