Roy Abigail reviewed: Mosaic workshop in Norwich

"A very instructive course. Fehmi guided us to create a piece that was very individual but also incorporated all of the various styles and techniques to be covered. Plenty of encouragement and just the right amount of ideas and nudging on when needed. The transition from work-in-progress to the finished item during the final week was almost magical."

Helen Charles reviewed: Clay sculpture workshops - Monday evening

"Beatrice is an inspiring teacher who gives you the confidence to be creative. The sessions are relaxed and friendly, but you learn such a lot.... smooth squidgy clay and tools that are great fun to use. There are loads of books and artefacts for inspiration too. I’ve been for several terms because I find it so absorbing and addictive, and in that time I’ve seen students produce beautiful sculptures... often surprising themselves! I would recommend everyone to give it a go!"

Sculpture Workshops Oxford responded:

"Thank you so much, Helen, for the lovely feedback!"

Helen Labanya reviewed: Beginners candle making workshop - London

"Very exciting and relaxing candling making session. Sarah made every one welcome, session was not rushed, instructions were very clear. Sarah explained all aspects of quality candle making, types of wax, scented candles. I will definitely be making my own candles at home and I will book another session in the new year. I felt very proud of myself having made some candles to take home and show my family and friends. Sarah’s support continues after the sessions. Highly recommended candle making course."

Lynette Collins reviewed: Candle making workshops

"We spent an amazing day with Angharad, just what we needed after a taxing week at work. The course was informative, relaxing and great fun, we learnt so much and come away with some beautiful candles. We both felt so inspired, so much so I’ve asked Father Christmas for a candle kit to make more at home. Would highly recommend Wax the Matters - lovely, very patient tutor and beautiful setting .....what more could you ask x"

Ollie Price reviewed: Small Leather Goods Workshop

"This was a really well structured course - there was a great deal packed into the 4 hours without it seeming at all rushed. Apart from learning about leather types and the tanning process, there was plenty of time for making and experimenting. The materials and tools provided were plentiful and first class. The information pack provided gives loads of details on where to buy tools and materials, and there is a strong encouragement to take away the skills learned and use them in future projects."

Mary Z. reviewed: Clay sculpture workshops - Monday evening

"I attended Beatrice's classes for several years and was most interested in, rather ambitiously, making sculptures of my grandchildren. Beatrice was always supportive and with her knowledge of anatomy and her experienced eye helped enormously. The atmosphere in the classes is very friendly and we form a little community who, with the support of Beatrice, are all trying to push ourselves to achieve the best we can create. Beatrice taught us about the different stages in the process of making art and it was touching to see us class members supporting each other on our individual creative journeys. I would recommend Beatrice's classes to anyone, experienced or a beginner, who would like to explore what they can do with sculpture."

Pete reviewed: Fidget/Spinner Ring: Silver Jewellery Making

"Did this Spinner Ring course yesterday with a friend. What a blast!! Nina is fab and an excellent tutor. She takes great care to ensure that your ring is your design and your execution i.e. your ring - and guides and educates you to ensure that you go home with just the design that you wanted. Please don't think that jewellery is not for the blokes - this course works so well for everybody. Nina is an incredible tutor who really knows her craft and takes great care that you get full value from the course. I went on this course with a friend and we had so much fun. Our ring designs were quite different but worked so well and we could look at each others designs and see how well they shone! I very much recommend this course and am really looking forward to the the next session with Nina where I can learn something new"

Gill Currie reviewed: Hygge Christmas craft workshop at Hautbois Hall

"What a wonderful day crafting. Everyone was so friendly and the workshop staff were so patient. I went home with five lovely gifts all handmade by me! I did crafts I had not done before so no need to be a crafter to go. Hot drinks were on tap ( literally) and cakes for nibbling throughout the day. A delicious meal was provided midway to keep up the energy and give everyone a chance to meet and chat. Worth every penny. Well done team."

Norfolk Crafts Workshop responded:

"Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We are so pleased that you had a good time and created such gorgeous items."

"What an amazing shop with lovely staff. My mother-in-law and I attended for the beginners felt class and thoroughly enjoyed it. Such a relaxed environment with a brilliant tutor that guided us all the way through making a Christmas tree decoration as well as a snowman. Sam Irving reviewed: Saturday silver ring making workshop - Ransom's Pavilion, Hitchin

"This is my second course with Tuuli, and i I really enjoyed it. She's a great teacher and I didn't feel confused at any point even though a lot of the processes (like soldering and hammering) were totally new to me. I felt very proud of what I'd made at the end too! I also took my mum as her Xmas present and she thoroughly enjoyed herself too and is so pleased with the ring and earrings she made herself. Can't recommend highly enough."

"Thank you so much for your lovely feedback Sam! I really appreciate you taking the time to leave it. I'm so glad you and your mum enjoyed the workshop."

Catherine reviewed: Lampshade making - Gathered & Pleated shades - 2 day Weekend Workshop Retreat, Rydal Lodge, Ambleside

"Jacqueline is amazing! Such a talented woman! Jacqueline teaches with such patience and kindness. I had a one to one class with Jacqueline and it was definitely worth it. I really wanted to learn this technique and initially thought I could learn it myself through youtube videos but you definitely cannot. There is so much more to it, it takes time and all the techniques to make a perfect and professional lampshade you will only learn from an expert like Jacqueline. I would definitely recommend this course with Jacqueline to anyone wanting to learn as it is an amazing skill to have."

JSInteriorsUK responded:

"Thank you Catherine for your lovely review. You were a pleasure to teach and your textile ideas ... all things natural with traditional techniques ... so exciting. I look forward to seeing your own collections at a trade shows in the years to come."

Marion Steel reviewed: Modern calligraphy (full day workshop) - Hampshire

"I really enjoyed this course, the first time I have ever tackled something “crafty.” Sunita’s approach to teaching the script was to tackle the letters in groups which we then practised before learning the next group. I found this a very manageable way to learn. She was very encouraging to those of us who were complete novices and helped us to improve our technique. The introduction of the watercolours and metallic paints, together with the beautiful cards, opened my eyes to what I might be able to achieve. I liked that there was also some script to trace to produce a beautiful Christmas card, for those of us not yet confident with our freehand writing. This was an inspiring introduction to modern calligraphy which I would recommend. Thank you Sunita!"
