"A really lovely day spent with Anne. She had thought of everything to make the day so enjoyable ,from the calm and patient way she helped teach us how to use the knitting machines to producing our own socks to take home. From the 1st email to the last cup of tea and homemade biscuits Anne held our hands all the way. I must mention the food that was provided too, all home cooked on an AGA by her friend Mattie , just delicious. "

Abderrachid el Ahmadi reviewed: One-to-one 3 day lampshade making masterclass including business startup guide for crafters

"Moji taught us the techniques of 2 complete different styles of lampshades within 3 days. With all her enthusiasm and patient skills she took us by the hand step by step. She really takes the time to explain well, in detail, and feels responsible that you will leave inspired, crafted and with beautiful handmade lampshades. She is able to multitask, provides lovely lunch in between and makes pictures of your personal activities. So that you have a reference afterwards. On top of this all she takes you through some basics of marketing to start your own business. We had a wonderful time, which varied from instruction to many laughs. These three wonderful days are well worth your money."

Moji Designs responded:

Jenny Carter reviewed: Resin geode/hi-build art workshop

"I really enjoyed my day at Eli-chem. In the morning we learnt about the different types of resins and after a demo in the morning we got to play around and practice on a square board . In the afternoon we got to work a geode board. There’s was a huge range of pigments, stones , gems etc to use. They were really encouraging and helpful and the day ran at a pleasant pace. My pieces were posted to me the next week. Can’t wait to display them! And now I feel confident I could try this at home. Thanks for a great day "

Karl Filby reviewed: Beginners 1-day 1-2-1 woodturning workshop for 1 person

"As a complete novice I had no idea if I would show any aptitude for wood turning, Simon made me feel comfortable and capable. Simon was extremely patient, answering all of my questions without ever making me feel inadequate or talking down to me. I must have left the day a better wood turner than when I started as I had never touched a lathe previously and left with a couple of pieces. So mission accomplished by Simon. Refreshments and lunch were plentiful and delicious. My biggest bugbear with the course was leaving keen as mustard but with the prospect of having to spend a load of money to set myself up!! What an excellent day, it flew by. "

Blended Monkey - pottery - woodturning - green woodworking - pole lathe - throwing responded:

"Hi Phil, So glad you enjoyed your experience and apologies for causing a mini financial crisis! If you need any help with sourcing equipment and tools, don't hesitate to get in touch. -- Simon"

The studio is a little haven in beautiful surroundings with plenty of inspiration. The resulting garden sculpture is amazing, still can't quite believe I made it, and no two are the same so something very personal and original to take home. Five gold stars from me!"
