"I absolutely loved this course. The teaching was excellent, everything was explained so clearly, and Niki guided us through a completely new craft with confidence and warmth. There was a perfect balance between instruction and giving us the freedom to work at our own pace, which made the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable. Using locally sourced slate and natural materials from Pembrokeshire made the mosaics feel really special, and I came away with two pieces I’m genuinely proud of. I’d definitely recommend this workshop to anyone interested in trying something creative, whether you're a beginner or have some experience. A wonderful course in a beautiful setting."

"Fabulous half day workshop in a warm studio. My first time booking via Craftcourses and it was a great success. Four strangers welcomed in by tutor Monique. Everything explained and shown in detail. Time was filled with questions, chatter, cups of tea and colourful productivity, I didn't stab myself once (my fear) and came away with a felted star Christmas decoration that I'm proud of. In fact I'm going back to do another one, a bauble this time. "

"This 2 day course was excellent. A great introduction to woodturning on the lathe, with only 2 people on the course with a lathe each, you basically had 1-to-1 tuition, with demos by Mick on a third lathe. Step by step demonstrations, then copy on your own piece, complete that stage, then demo of the next stage. 2 pieces completed each day, including sanding and finishing with sealers and wax polishes. Superbly equipped workshop, I attended in December 2025 so was sligtly concerned that it would be cold, but the woodburning stove kept the workshop toasty and warm so I had to shed a few layers. Mick kept the tools sharp throughout each day. Safety was emphasised but you were also given confidence and encouragement to express your own designs. Mick went the extra mile at the end of the second day, helping me complete a small repair job that I had brought along with me on the off-chance!"

"Did this wreath day with my 80 year old mum. We both loved it! Jen showed us so many techniques : painting fabric, using angelina to make sparkly fabric, die cutting, using powdered glue to iron on sparkle and heat gun to curl leaves. Jen was clear, patient, helpful and gave 1on1 help where we needed it. Brilliant day. Highly recommend this particular course but also recommend Jen as a trainer/guide."

"My wife booked me onto this Beginners Course, and having never ‘turned a lathe in my life’ I was amazed to find myself hands-on within half an hour, crafting a honey dipper. By the end of day two, I proudly went home with a bowl, pen, and tea light holder—much to the astonishment of my family! The equipment was excellent (I had no idea so many tools were involved), and the workshop was spacious and well set up. But what truly made the experience invaluable was Mick’s ability to share his incredible knowledge with patience and encouragement. For a complete novice like me, that support made all the difference. I would wholeheartedly recommend this course. "

"I spent an interesting day and learned a lot from Stephen who is clearly a master of his craft, as evinced by the wonderful examples of his work; not just highly professional, but also very creative. I made notes when I could, but it tended to interrupt the flow and a handout or two would have been helpful to make sure I took home the key points. We also had fun discussing many varied topics during the day, but we then ran late in order to complete the book I'd brought and it felt a bit rushed. That resulted in the text being inserted into the cover upside-down which was a shame as we'd worked hard on it all day. However, all-in-all I now feel confident enough to embark on my own book repairs thanks to what I've learnt. Thank you, Stephen."

"As a complete beginner to weaving, the scope of this course was perfect, as the complexity of setting up the loom had been completed by the tutor prior to the start of the course. That meant that the course could focus on use of the loom and completing simple and more complex patterns using a variety of colours. The course opened up the potential of weaving to me, leaving me to explore next steps. The studio is interesting as well as functional , with displays of Kendall's weaving in a variety of materials. "
