1 to 1 Beginners Crochet and beyond - East Grinstead

Don’t be put off if you’ve tried to crochet and following YouTube or a book hasn’t worked for you - one-to-one tuition is the perfect answer - I can help you get started! This 1-to-1 crochet lesson is for 2 hours and for absolute beginners onward. If you already crochet but just need a little help to progress I can help you with that, or if you’d like to start a project but struggle to get started we can work on that! I can also help you learn reading patterns, changing colours, working in a round - problem solving any issues you have with your crochet. Want to start a new more advanced pattern and need some help and guidance to begin - I’m happy to help you work on whatever you’d like. If you have a group of friends that would like a class together I can do a discount depending on how many people you’d like to attend (discount for 3+). You can all work on separate patterns or work together on a pattern. Feel free to message and let me know what you'd like to do and we can arrange accordingly. I (Nicole) have been crocheting since 2011, teaching since 2018 and a pattern designer since 2021. I love to crochet and really love teaching crochet. Week days classes can be flexible between the times stated below, weekends are busy so I now have 2 sessions which can potentially be slightly flexible, Monday - Friday -- 10:30am - 8:30pm Saturdays & Sunday -- 11am to 1pm or 1:30pm to 3:30pm It also doesn’t have to be a beginners lesson, we can do a recap, beginners plus lesson, pattern reading or just about anything you’d like to learn to crochet. I can help with this too, just let me know your requirements. In the absolute beginners class, you will learn the basics of crochet. We start with slip knot, chain, then double crochet and treble crochet. We discuss the difference between uk/usa terms and how to spot which one the patterns are written in, yarn & hook info and I can answer any questions you have as we go. You will also get a hook and yarn to take home.

Beginners get a hook and yarn to take home. If it’s not absolute beginners please bring your preferred yarn and hook to work with or message me if you don’t have any and I’ll sort it out for you! Tea/coffee/squash/water offered.
