"A brilliant hands-on introduction to stone carving from a very talented teacher. Susan reviewed: Bring Your Own Upholstery Project - 1 day workshop - Week Days

"This was my first experience of upholstery and I had a fabulous day learning how to reupholster a chair. Sarah is a wonderful teacher, giving clear, easy to follow instructions. With only 3 people in the class Sarah was able to give individual help. Tea, coffee and biscuits were provided throughout the day and Sarah gave us a delicious lunch too, which gave us time to chat. I would highly recommend this course...it has inspired me to learn more about this craft."

Helen reviewed: SAORI creative weaving day

"A perfect day… I was lost in world of colour, relaxation and mindful creativity. I went home with a beautiful piece of textile art of which I am very proud (and I am a very harsh critic!!) and a real sense of joy. I felt comfortable and well looked after during the day, learning so much in an enjoyable and supportive atmosphere. Amanda shares her knowledge and love of weaving with such warmth and brightness that it is impossible not be inspired. I enjoyed every moment and can't wait to return... thank you very much!"

"We had an informative, enjoyable, creative and fun afternoon with Claire, thank you. The teaching pace was just right, she skillfully and patiently showed us what to do without doing it for us and she was very well organised resulting in us all producing lovely cards to take home, leaving us with a feeling of satisfaction and also that we would like to have another go"

Angela Haines reviewed: Weekend landscape painting in watercolours

"I joined Georgina's class as a beginner a few years ago. She taught me how to paint and at the same time encouraged me to develop my own artistic style. The sessions are always relaxed usually starting with a short demo on a new technique or an ongoing project . When working on our own paintings Georgina always has time for everyone to discuss their progress and offers support and guidance . Since joining Georgina's class I feel I have grown in confidence as a painter and would recommend anyone interested in art to have a go."

Rosemary reviewed: Watercolour Flowers with Janet Edwards at Cambridge Art Makers

"I hadn't done any painting since my school days (a long time ago!) and was pretty terrified but Janet walked everything through with such patience and encouragement I was able to get over my insecurities and paint a picture I was proud of! Everyone in the class I was in, had different insecurities but by the end everyone had painted a beautiful picture and felt confident that they could continue to grow! Her experience in painting flowers 'in the flesh' is well demonstrated and she knows how to bring out the delightful characters of every species; even the most tricky of characters! Her techniques for composition are genius!"

Bernadette Reeve reviewed: Needle felting workshop - Create your own woodland creature

"Three of us wanted to have a get together and do something crafty and we hit on Denise's felting workshop. It was lovely; we all came away with our completed woodland creature which was so satisfying to make and complete in one day! Denise is very friendly and helpful and the setting - Denise's studio - was very quiet and relaxed with so much in the way of crafting materials around to inspire! The cake was delicious as well! Thank you, Denise!"

Crafty Gal responded:

"Thank you so much Bernie for the fantastic review! You were a great group and I'm thrilled you had such a fun time needle felting with me - the start of many woolly projects to come for all of you I hope! Remember I'm here if I can help with anything you go on to! Have fun! Dx"

Margaret reviewed: Amazing encaustic art day course

"My daughter-in-law wanted to try something new so she and I went on the 2 hour taster session for her birthday present; I had done some encaustic wax work with Phil in the distant past. We had a great time learning and practicing techniques and came away enthused to do more and clutching a bundle of mini works of art we had produced. A very relaxed and enjoyable session."

Bev Young reviewed: Irresistible mosaic ornaments - for gardens year round

"I’ve attended several of Anne’s courses - and they are EXCELLENT! Anne has a wonderful sense of humour and makes the classes such a warm and inviting experience . Whatever your level of expertise you could not fail to come away having learnt something new - and of course a wonderful piece of artwork! Anne does not try to impose her creative style and encourages you to explore and creat your own. Wholeheartedly recommend !"

Making Mosaics responded:

"Thanks Bev - are you still creating your beautiful detailed pieces I wonder?"

Kerry reviewed: Saturday Silver Clay Jewellery Workshop at Ransom's Pavilion, Hitchin 9.30am - 12.30pm

"A really great morning spent learning a new hobby, I would highly recommend this course. Tuuli explained and supported each stage of the process and all resources were provided so you didn't need to take anything with you. I still can't believe that I started with a pea sized piece of clay and after a couple of processes went home with 4 pieces of silver jewellery. Thank you Tuuli :)"

Tuuli Parker responded:

"Thank you for your kind words Kerry! I'm really glad you enjoyed the workshop. Kind regards, Tuuli"

Susannah reviewed: Printmaking practice relief

"I did a lino taster day with Sue at Cambridge Art Makers. I am slightly biased about the space as I work here!!! But I thought Sue's teaching was fantastic. She was very informative and although I have tried lino in the past I felt like it was the first time I really 'got it' and the infinite possibilities that the medium has to offer. I can't wait for this longer course to explore the process further."

Sarah reviewed: 'Art of Stained Glass' - Oldbury, Birmingham

"My friend and I did a two person course for two days focused just on painting. Jamal is an excellent teacher and tailored the sessions to us, finding out what we were comfortable doing already and offering us just the information we needed in the limited time we had. We left the sessions understanding how to mix paint, which medium and pigments to choose, what equipment we needed, how to apply a matte as well as do delicate line paintings with tracing black paint. All the knowledge we hoped we would come away with to practice at home! Jamal is very welcoming and offered us images to work from as well as giving us tips to make the best of our own."
