Jayne Benevides reviewed: Introduction to wet-felting: handbag, iPad case or something else!

"Cathy was such an inspiration and shared her extensive knowledge of all sorts of crafts. Her husband made some delicious flapjacks which we enjoyed with coffee on our arrival and introduction to wet felting. Cathy left us felting for a bit while she produced an amazing lunch set in her beautiful garden! We made a lovely wet felted bag, had some real belly laughs, in a gorgeous setting. An amazing day, thanks, Cathy."

Eleanor reviewed: Spoon carving for beginners with Green Fox Wild Crafts

"I loved this day soooo much. I have wanted to work through the process of making a simple cooking spoon for ages, from start to finish, and return home with knowledge and skills to continue this craft with a good beginners confidence, and Nadine’s course gave me this and more. A really practical day, hands on seeing this process through. Nadine gives a great balance of support, knowledge and wisdom and also letting you get on with it. A very inspiring person to work with. The setting too was wonderful, so special, in a beautiful woodland with lovely touches of teas, coffees and treats. Thank you Nadine! Just ordered my sharpening kit! X"

Les reviewed: One-to-One Private workshop

"We really enjoyed the workshop. My mum and I were able to learn at our own pace so it was a very welcome and relaxed day off for me and outing for my mum. Gigha's studio is well-equipped and she has everything you could possible want. She is so kind and patient, even when mum kept getting the pliers upside down! Thanks very much. Can't wait to try another one."

"I attended the furniture painting workshop today Level 1, thank you Jo for another fab day. I loved the upholstery footstool workshop so much I wanted to learn more skills and thats what I did today. I was looking forward to this course and it was more than I expected it to be. I have learned some amazing techniques that I will use on some pieces of furniture I have at home to upcycle. Jo, I keep looking at my chair and thinking wow I did that! Thank you again for all your patience, knowledge and the skills you taught us today and your encouragement to step out of my comfort zone! Alec reviewed: Georgie's needle felting animals

"I did an afternoon course and absolutely loved it. Arts & crafts isn't normally my thing because I'm fairly cack-handed but in the end I was actually delighted with my little bunny. It was amazing to see how everyone was given the same materials and the same instructions but each person came up with something that was a totally different character. Would recommend to this course to anyone, I was utterly absorbed and the time flew by. Thanks Georgie!"

Georgies Felted Friends responded:

"I am very pleased you were able to join a course Alec and that you enjoyed it. Your magician bunny had enormous character and personality."

Maxine Edgington reviewed: Learn soft pastels in a relaxed beautiful environment

"Heather is a very talented artist and is so generous with her knowledge and her materials. She has a relaxed teaching style which makes the workshop fun and easy to understand. Before I attended Heather's workshop I did not have the confidence to draw, let alone use pastel. After the workshop I had a pastel picture of my dog, which I have framed and am proud of. Thank you Heather for your skill, knowledge, patience and humour."

Daniel Luty reviewed: Learn to Turn in the Dartmoor National Park

"Chris was extremely helpful all day! It's nice to learn from someone who is so enthusiastic about his work and really wants everyone to get involved and enjoy themselves. The course itself was aimed at teaching the key skills behind turning and not just a copycat exercise which was very beneficial. I would recommend this course to anyone who is interested in turning!"

"My husband and i had a very enjoyable day knife making. Jake was welcoming and put as both at ease from the start. He explained everything easily and we had a few laughs as well. We both got to use the power hammer and he showed us a lot of the various techniques used on the anvil to forge the knife. Would recommend this course to anyone and it was brilliant to see the finished knife knowing you had made it yourself. Thanks again Jake for a fantastic day."

Yvonne Taylor reviewed: Felt Lampshades at Silversoles Studio, Birmingham

"Another fabulous course with Emma! I thoroughly enjoyed the two Saturday mornings and was delighted with my lampshade when it was finished. Emma is always so warm and welcoming, and her studio is a lovely place to work. In addition, by keeping groups, she is able to give each person individual attention when they require it. Emma is such an inspirational tutor. She guides you through the process step by step with clear instructions and at the right pace. There is just the right amount of support, with a good balance between teaching new skills and helping students develop their own ideas. Clear written instructions, photographs taken during the process and a list of suppliers are all provided by Emma. More importantly, she gives you the confidence to 'have a go' at trying different techniques. I can't wait to make my next lampshade and try some of them out! A great course for beginners and those with some experience of felting. I can highly recommend this and other courses by Emma. Thank you so much! I look forward to seeing you again soon."

Paul reviewed: Box making weekend in Cumbria

"I was very excited to be going on this course and had been looking forward to it for months. It is obviously a very popular course, and with good reason. A wonderful workshop, plenty of space for everyone (4 pupils and two tutors), a great selection of tools and Mark and Richard are excellent mentors. I describe them as mentors because, although they are there to teach you the basics (and they do so brilliantly), they let you get on with it. They are watchful, mindful and step in at just the right moment to give you pearls of wisdom that are obviously years in the making. I am confident that the experience (and confidence) I have gained during the weekend will carry me forward into my own projects. A truly wonderful experience; thank you!"
