Teddy reviewed: Kitchen Knife Course

"Brilliant day - massively rewarding! Dave is a brilliant teacher - supportive, encouraging, patient and perfectly clear in his instructions and advice. He clearly has a lot of knowledge and experience in bladesmithing, and was able to share this with us during the day - the balance of hands on and hands off teaching was spot on, enabling us to leave with a stunning knife that I feel I created, and a true sense of achievement! Dave has clearly put a lot of effort and consideration in to designing the course, resulting in a really enjoyable and rewarding day, thanks Dave!"

Gwynneth reviewed: Weekend Beginners In-depth Workshops- Bobbin Lacemaking Workshops (Effingham, Surrey).

"I wanted to try bobbin lace for ages and decided to do this course with Tina. I was clear from the start that I was not sure it was for me but Tina was very supportive and encouraged me. I managed to make a snake bookmark to take home and was pleased with that, but, despite Tina's best efforts, I won't be carrying on with this craft. Thanks for your support and kindness Tina."

Tina's Bobbin Lacemaking responded:

"Hi Gwynneth It was lovely to meet you on the workshop. It was a great pleasure to offer you the chance to try Bobbin lace making, and tick something off your bucket list. I am pleased you were able to complete your bookmark and had something to take away with you. The whole idea for this workshop is for students to try, then decide if they wish to carry on. For you it was not to be, so the workshop acheived that aim. It was lovely to meet you, and hope you had a brilliant time in India. Best wishes Tina "

Sharon Thomas reviewed: Complete Smartphone Photography Workshop

"I loved this workshop. Matt is a brilliant, inspiring and patient teacher. I’m one of those who gets frustrated that struggled to take the pictures I can see in my mind. Matt talked us through some key tools and approaches to help and when putting these into practice, he provided guidance, pointers and encouragement. Over the course of just one morning, I was able to see definite improvements in how I take photographs which made me very happy. The afternoon was my first attempt at editing photographs and it was so much fun! Matt explained the various options to give us some confidence and then encouraged us to play, offering opinions when useful. The range of pictures we created as a group was lovely to see. Matt answered lots of questions from us all and clearly knows his subject and really loves to share it with others. I came away with a lot of ideas and renewed energy around taking photographs and knowing how to practise the tools to create some really interesting images – lots of playtime ahead! Thanks Matt – I will definitely be back for more."

The World Of Matt Parker responded:

"Thank you, Sharon! It was great seeing how your vision developed over the day and the excellent images you created."
