Woodcarving taster day

Student project

About the Course

Important note:
The move to Felixstowe is nearly complete
I am hoping to be up and running for my normal classes by September, though probably at reduced numbers.

The new address is 28 Colneis Road, Felixstowe, IP11 9HF so you can come and carve and enjoy the seaside too! I will also put some new accommodation suggestions on my website

This is an excellent start to your woodcarving hobby or career, we will cover basic shaping, Tool selection and sharpening, all you need to get you going. Taught by Gerald a master carver of 30+ years professional experience. The workshop is light, warm and well fitted out. Classes are informal and fun.
Photos are from my weekly courses, most students have started with a beginners course and carried on.

If you will be redeeming a CraftCourses gift voucher on this course, the voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

What's included in the price?

All tools and materials are supplied as well as a light buffet lunch, tea / coffee and biscuits!

In-person course
- - #28924

This was a one day introductory course. The day was superb in every respect. The quality of instruction, the opportunities to try the techniques and the fact that an artefact (a carved shell) was the outcome of the day made for an excellent introduction. I can recommend such a course and the quality of Gerald Adams' coaching without a single reservation. In addition, the refreshments and lunch made for a great atmosphere.
