Based on a simple and imaginative sketchbook format, The Caravan Art School aims to provide students with way more than just online art classes.
Lessons are filmed in artist Julie Sajous’ Isle of Wight studio (a light and airy caravan!) and provide a learning experience which makes students feel as if they are really there!
The idea of the project is to create a lasting and beautiful piece of work through a sketchbook, working alongside fellow students. Learn simple techniques and get inspiration through mini-lessons, allowing you to switch off and find a calm, enjoyable moment in your day through drawing and painting.
The Caravan Art School is a super-friendly and welcoming community. Not only will we get you creating but you’ll have as much of the Art Academy experience as suits you!
Weekly pre-recorded online lessons are fun, relaxed and are carefully constructed to be accessible to all ability levels using the most basic artists’ materials. Emphasis is on working loose and just enjoying art!
Lessons are 'rolling' in that there is no beginning or end to the course, simply a continuation of different topics and enough advice, demos and helpful links to get you creating.
Members have access to a forum where they can share ideas, get feedback from Julie, read lesson notes and post photos of their work. We also bring in amazing visiting lecturers to inspire you.
We currently also offer a weekly Zoom catch up call for Q’s and A’s but if this is not your thing then there is a "Message Us" section
within the site along with a chatty Facebook group for those who wish to join in.
If you will be redeeming a CraftCourses gift voucher on this course, the voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
