Description

Love vintage, but cannot find a unique, quality lampshade for your Fat Lava lamp? Join Vanessa an experienced teacher, for a Masterclass in vintage lampshade making and choose from a range of vintage fabrics to make your own stunning lampshade! This relaxed and supportive 3 hour, morning or afternoon workshop, introduces you to the simple techniques and tools required to make a vintage style cone lampshade 75cm high (other sizes/heights available by prior arrangement). Cannot make it to me? For a minimum of 2 people, I am happy to travel to you for a workshop in your own home within a 10-mile radius (mileage in excess of this would incur travel expenses). Hen do? Are you looking for an alternative fun afternoon.......special offer of a free bottle of prosecco is included in the price with a minimum of 5 students attending. The courses are relaxed so you can work at your own pace with plenty of friendly support and guidance.

What's included in the price?

Endless tea and coffee are available plus a cone Lampshade kit, 75 cm high, with fabric and use of my tools. Embellishments like braiding or additional kits are an extra cost.

I am a part-time secondary school teacher, teaching ages 11-18 in crafts with 15 years experience and have a degree in 3D Design (woods, metals, plastics). Making 3D products and sewing has been a lifelong passion of mine and I love being able to teach new skills to you and delight in your amazement at what you create!

I also really enjoyed being in my own home yet able to do something new and very creative (with expert help and advice). Not having to travel made it ideal for me. There was a great selection of fabric to choose from for my lampshade and all the equipment arrived packaged well and complete. Vanessa is so experienced and calm and the whole session was relaxed and fun. She passed on tips and tricks and what products to use for future lampshade making projects.
