Description
You will learn traditional ‘stake and strand’ basket making, using prepared basketry willow to make your own willow tray using a traditional square work basketry technique. This is a handy little basket that can be used for cutlery, carrying tea and cake to the garden or as a display basket for your crafts. This workshop is suitable for beginners but some previous experience of rod bordering will be handy but not essential. If you’ve made a basket before and would like a refresher day this is a good opportunity. All tools and materials provided. Bring a packed lunch, and wear warm old clothing.
