Lampshade making workshop Brighton

X

Description

This workshop is perfect for beginners who want to learn the craft of contemporary lampshade making. You’ll learn how to apply the lampshade PVC to get the best out of your fabric, how to attach the rings and create neat rolled edges, amongst a variety of other techniques. You will either make a 20cm or 30cm diameter fabric lampshade which can be used on a lamp base or ceiling pendant. By the end of the workshop you will get to go home with your very own bespoke lampshade and will have all the skills to create many more beautiful shades! The workshop is run by Joanna Corney, who runs a homeware and lighting business from her studio in Hove and has been passing on her making skills in workshops for the past few years. The workshops take place in a variety of venues throughout Brighton and Hove and we can even put on lampshade making parties in a venue of your choice! Please do get in touch if you would like to come to one of our classes! We have a variety of dates running throughout the year.
