Description

On this two-day soap-making and skin-care course with Jenny Smith from The Scottish Soapworks, you can choose from a range of products to make including traditional cold process soap, organic 'melt and pour' glycerine soap, shampoo bars, lip balms, liquid soaps and hand and body cream. You will discuss marketing ideas, ingredient and packaging suppliers, equipment, recipe creation, costs and legislation, and will receive a detailed information handout. Your cold process soap will remain with Jenny for 3 weeks for curing, and will then be cut and packaged for sending to you by post (please allow 4-5 weeks). You will take the other products you make home with you on the day. The price includes access to all the equipment you will need, all materials, welcome refreshments and a sandwich style lunch. You can also book further 1:1 follow-up sessions with Jenny if needed. This course is booked at a date to suit you and Jenny, so please contact us to discuss availability. A three-day option is also available to allow for the making of a wider range of products, or to add on time for discussing branding and packaging for example. If you need overnight accommodation we have one, en-suite double bedroom available at the venue. Please contact us for information and to check availability. Please note that The Arienas Collective experiences are run from a first-floor space and unfortunately we do not have lift access.
