The course content consists of learning how to hand stamp Sterling Silver Jewellery.
If you are interested in learning how to hand stamp your own silver jewellery, along with learning basic silversmithing skills then this is the course for you. The hand stamped course is suitable for absolute beginners to people with some prior experience who may wish to build upon the skills they already have.
The skills you will learn during the course are how to measure your chosen jewellery piece in order to set out the correct stamping positions. Learn how to work out how many characters you can use on particular jewellery pieces. Students will also get to do lots of practicing on the day, prior to stamping their final jewellery piece or pieces.
Dependent on the jewellery pieces students select, students may also get the chance to learn how to anneal & shape the different metals into the desired jewellery shape, along with learning how to saw, soldier & cure the metals before finishing with buffing and polishing them to a high shine finish.
This course is very interactive and continued support is offered throughout the length of the course, whilst at the same time allowing students to work independently.
The course runs for 2.5 hours over one day, but on the odd occasion can slightly overrun to enable students to complete the piece of jewellery they are working on.
If you will be redeeming a CraftCourses gift voucher on this course, the voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
All of the materials used throughout the course are included within the price.
During the course there is an unlimited supply of free tea, coffee, soft drinks and biscuits available.
