Description

About the workshop

Make your very own set of fabulous sterling silver stacking rings. This is a super popular workshop and the results are always impressive. With a great variety of textures and surface finishes available your stack will be unique to you. We always make at least three rings (one with a semi precious stone) and sometimes we can even squeeze in a fourth ring!

Who is it for?

Beginners onwards. Please note that a good level of dexterity and eyesight is required. Over 16s with accompanying adult.

What will I learn?

You'll learn the basics of jewellery making including annealing, sawing, filing, soldering, shaping and forming, texturing and polishing. You'll also be setting one of your rings with a semi-precious stone, there are so many to choose from!

What shall I bring?

Reading glasses if you use them, it's very good to be able to see! Also to keep you safe it's best to wear closed toed shoes, tie long hair back and avoid loose flappy clothes :)

I really enjoyed the relaxed but productive day. Kate was open and friendly and I felt very comfortable asking for help when needed. I came away confident and very pleased with my rings.

If you have never made silver rings before, don't be daunted - Kate is an excellent tutor who demonstrates how to do everything and gives everyone a hand if they get stuck! It was a lovely relaxed day and we all made 4 stacking rings to be proud of. I would definitely recommend this course.

Kate is an excellent tutor explaining the tools we would be using together with taking us through the steps to makings our rings and also giving us a manual to take away. We made four rings during an informative, fun day in good company.

Booked this for my wife as a Birthday present and to say she was delighted is an understatement. The day did not disappoint, her rings are really impressive and she said it was a great experience.
