Description

Come and enjoy a creative session, and learn the art of silversmithing. Guided by expert tutor Zoe, you will get hands-on with the tools and materials and create a gorgeous necklace handcrafted by you. All in the relaxing setting of our craft barn with views overlooking the open countryside of Hanwell Wine Estate. In this fun workshop you are given a piece of sterling silver sheet and a piece of copper sheet and from these you can make a pendant. After having a play with the different mark making tools, using example pieces as inspiration, and being offered design guidance where required, What you will make: A necklace with 3 rings on make from sterling silver. What you will learn: You will learn how to saw and shape each piece and then solder and clean and sand to finish up with a beautiful bespoke handmade pendant. Who is the workshop for- Perfect for beginners or people with experience. Your Tutor Zoe: Zoë is a Midlands based designer, silversmith, and metal artist. Drawing her inspiration from a love of both woodland and urban walks and pottering in her garden she creates very tactile and wearable pieces with a cohesiveness across collections. The majority of her work is in sterling silver with a strong use of copper adding a beautifully warm contrast, and a splattering of semi precious stones to add depth of colour in some designs. To ensure the quality of your personal experience, group size will be limited to 6. (Please note: a minimum number of 4 bookings is required in order for the session to go ahead) Suitable for children aged 16 years and over must be accompanied by a paying adult.
