About the Course
During this two-day workshop, students will have the opportunity to make a silver ring, set with a cabochon stone. A cabochon is a stone that is shaped and polished, rather than faceted. Skills taught will include how to make the ring, measuring to achieve the correct finger size and how to set the cabochon stone as well as final polishing and finishing.
Tutor Kate Arbon has been designing and making jewellery for twenty years. For the majority of that time she was resident jeweller at Walford Mill Crafts in Wimborne. Now, having settled in West Dorset, she is focusing on teaching and developing new collections of silver and gold jewellery.
