A short and comprehensive grounding in traditional jewellery skills is offered in this intensive in-depth 2-day weekend workshop.
The student is introduced to a wide range of metal-smithing techniques used to create jewellery. There is a maximum of 2 students per course enabling Alison to give each person lots of attention. No previous experience is required.

The students will become familiar with working with Sterling Silver.
Appropriate tools will be used to manipulate metal sheets and wire.
You will learn:-
Use of the Pendant Drill,
Rub-over bezel setting of cabochon and faceted stones, tube setting,
Polishing and finishing.
The relevant Health and Safety issues required by this discipline.
You will go home having had a wonderful weekend, gained a solid understanding of the fundamental principles of working with metal and a beautifully finished stone-set ring and a pendant. Possibly more!.
What you would need to set up at home will be discussed.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
