Description

This class came about at the request of one my students. They wanted to make a chicken door stop for a fun gift. This chicken was great fun to make, and I know they'll make great gifts too. My first one was snapped up in by my son and daughter in law, the request going in before I had even finished making it. The body parts of my chicken were made using leftover fabric from previous projects, and I used my fabric trimmings for the stuffing. This means it's a good recycling project too. You will need something weighty inside too, I share some suggestions in the class introduction. I'm sure this is a class you'll enjoy making and I'm sure you'll be making more than one! In this class, we will cover the following: Straight seams Curved seams Bagging out Using fusible fleece Stuffing Closing up

I have had a lifelong love of crafts which started when I was taught to knit at a very young age. It didn’t take too long to realise that great joy and satisfaction came from making things. It doesn’t matter if it’s something I’ve made or whether it’s when I teach someone else how to make it, I still get a thrill. That's why I love to share and pass on my skills and knowledge so that you can get the same pleasure and satisfaction from creating a gorgeous finished item.
