Recycled silver hoop making class with Sarah & Mat



Each student will be guided through the process of making a pair of polished or textured hoop earrings using hand tools and jewellery making equipment. Under the guidance of your experienced tutor you will learn the following skills.

- annealing (heating)
- forming (hammering, doming and shaping) -soldering
- sizing
- texturing
- filing
- papering (finishing process)
- polishing

All students will start the day with a piece of 1.8mm recycled silver wire and learn how to form, size and texture a pair of hoop earrings. Hoops earring to measure 25mm - 35mm diameter.
The class will be a duration of 3 hours. Our experienced tutor will guide you through each process on the path to producing your desired piece. Prior to the class we will send you a welcome letter and induction form via email. This will contain all the things you will need for the day.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 4 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?

All courses include sufficient materials to make your piece. PPE and aprons will be provided and please wear closed toe shoes and tie long hair back. Also be aware that clothes can get grubby.

Tea and coffee are in constant supply.

A full brief health and safety chat and inductions on any machinery and tools provided, will be given.
