About the Course

Introduction to Argentium silver jewellery making. This 1day course will include the use of tools and materials. We will cover the different wire gauges and the use of them in various jewellery projects. How Argentium silver reacts to heat and melting point when soldering.
We will spend time perfecting the soldering process on different gauge wire.

We will create 2 items of jewellery, going through the process of measuring, sawing and forming your pieces with mandrel and texturing hammer. We will look at pickling and while these pieces are annealed we will learn how to create some Argentium findings The process of sanding and polishing is the final task, using different sandpaper to achieve the look of your final pieces.

This course is for beginners, or those working with Sterling silver and want to see what Argentium silver can offer.

What's included in the price?

The use of tools and all Argentium silver materials are provided for this 1day course.

Work will be done in my studio at the rear of our property. Drinks and biscuits, cake will be provided. Bring your own sandwiches.

There is ample parking both on the drive and across the road. There are toilet facilities. Please wear old clothes and flat footwear which covers the top of the foot. There is a log burner in the studio so, it will be warm.
