About the Course
This is a relaxed and therapeutic one day workshop is held at Dizzy Birds Craft Shop, 37 Market Place, HU18 in the popular seaside town of Hornsea. You will learn how to create your own mosaic using an easy basic technique.
No experience or artistic ability is needed as you may either choose one of Tamar's original designs to follow or create your own design. You will work your mosaic onto a board or work on the surface of another object available to choose from that day. You will be able to take home your piece at the end of the day and receive a printed information sheet so that you can continue to develop your new skills at home or return to do a different mosaic project.
There will be a large selection of coloured glass tiles to choose from and you will learn different mosaic styles to help you achieve a pleasing result. The class size will be small, no more than 7, so you will get plenty of individual attention if you want it. I now offer different projects such as a log, clock, chair, spade, a piece of York stone and some 'one off' articles that I pick up like a small table or tray, occasional musical instrument. Whatever interesting finds I can get hod of. Not everyone has to do the same project - you can choose.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

Response from Mosaic Mosaic:Many thanks for your review - much appreciated. Glad you enjoyed it. x
I had never tried mosaic work before but loved it. Tamar was very patient, her instructions and guidance were clear and she keeps the participant numbers low (max of 6) deliberately in order to give individual attention. I didn't know anyone else on this one day workshop but as we were all learners the ice was soon broken along with the tiles. I would recommend this for anyone who wants to create something unique and all the equipment is supplied so no need to worry about what is needed.
