About the Course
The Mosaic Workshop is a day course teaching the basic techniques of mosaic.
The day consists of choosing your base to work on, several bases are available from mirrors, large stones for the garden, ply wood that can be framed and hung on the wall to slate for relief mosaic images. You will then design your final image and draw it onto your base and create your mosaic. You will be able to take your finished piece home with you along with a print out of the technique you have learnt to continue at home.
The course is held at Ramsgill Studio, Ramsgill ( just 10 mins out of Pateley Bridge).
10 am - 4.30pm.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

I'm not arty and needed a lot of help. I was guided through my choice of project and the best colours to use with sensitivity to inspire confidence. I got exactly what I wanted which was to spend a day in good company trying something new. Time just flew by - it was very absorbing and much freer than I'd expected.
And there was a really tasty home-cooked lunch.

This was an excellent introduction to mosaics and Ruth taught us with a quiet enthusiasm that helped us to experiment and explore our own ideas. Fantastic studio setting so we were surrounded by beautiful things from a number of artists including Ruth's own work - all very inspiring. Lovely home cooked lunch too so a fantastic day out and I'm already planning my next mosaic.
