An informal, creative day making a small mosaic plaque.
We will start with a short overview of the various methods, approaches and possibilities of mosaic making before focusing on the techniques of the art including materials, cutting, adhesives and grouting. You will then work on your own mosaic, either using your own design or choosing from a selection of pre-prepared templates.
Your mosaic will need time to dry so the class will include a grouting demonstration and you will take home a small bag of grout and instructions to finish the mosaic at home.
No previous experience necessary. Maximum class size: 8
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

The Mosaic Introduction day was very enjoyable and informative. Prior to attending, I was a little apprehensive due to not being particularly gifted in arty endeavours. I needn't have worried, Helen was so warm and friendly and gave great advice and encouragement throughout the day. My friend and myself were both delighted with what we achieved in a day and we both agreed we learned a lot whilst also finding it relaxing and fun. Highly recommended. Thanks Helen.
