About the Course

Williams Handmade offers this One - on - One bespoke leather workshop where you are the only participant so the workshop can be completely tailored to what you would like to learn or make. Whereas all of our other group courses are based on learning hand stitching on the one - on - one workshop it is possible for you to learn how to machine stitch leather. You could also learn how to make patterns for your choice of construction method. If you would like to learn something specific we are happy to discuss what is possible.

Can be suitable for beginners or someone who is more advanced. Can be booked on a day to suit you.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

What's included in the price?

There will be an additional cost for the leather, which will depend on the quantity used, usually costing between £25 - £50.

I attended this course earlier in the year and had a great weekend. Sarah was a encouraging and informative tutor, guiding all the students to make a finished hand stitching leather bag by the end of the weekend and I was absolutely thrilled with my bag which I use everyday. The course is held in a beautiful workshop in a converted school house, surrounded by countryside. I will be definitely recommend the course to friends and I would love to do another course with Sarah.

Just completed a weekend course with Sarah and three others. Great course, Sarah is an excellent teacher as well as being a great leather worker. On the first day we learnt a lot about leather and leather construction and some good basic skills to get us started. Then we all chose a bag style to suit ourselves and by the end of the weekend had a really practical and useful bag to take home with us together with enough skills to enable us to carry on our new hobby at home. Set in a beautiful part of the country and with a great complimentary lunch each day we were well looked after and I highly recommend this course.
