About the Course
This is the class to master sewing a zip. You will gain some new skills and have two lovely zipped and lined bags to take away and show off your new skills.
Made from sturdy mid weight cotton, these bags make great pencil cases or make up bags and great gifts!
• You’ll learn how to use a zipper foot
• Top stitch the zip in place
• Add a lining
• Learn how to create a small zipped and lined bag
You must be comfortable threading up a machine unaided and sewing basic seams before attending this class.
I have over 35 years experience sewing, from learning to sew as a child making dolls clothes, progressing to dressmaking, home furnishings (curtains and blinds), accessories, and always to professional standards. I design and make my own patterns, and work as a freelance tutor. I hope you will come along and enjoy my workshops, where I am happy to pass on lots of information and tips.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

Simply all it should be. Lovely location, easy access from motorway, small group, very clear instruction from Julie at a pace which suited all, one stage at a time. Judi had time to assist everyone when they needed it. She is a very good tutor. We finished 2 zip bags on the day, most other workshops I've gone to need the work to be finished as home. I will definitely keep an eye out for more workshops.

Response from Sew Make it:Thank you Di, it was lovely to meet you and Chrissie, your bags were amazing! look forward to seeing you again soon :)
Had a great time doing these lovely workshops, relaxed and informal, learnt loads, and I will be making lots more from now on. Particularly liked the zip bags, they can be used for all sorts of things. Thinking of Christmas pressies ;). Wouldn't hesitate to do more workshops with Judi
