Festive soap and cream making with The Scottish Soapworks
Join Jenny from The Scottish Soapworks for a festive-themed soap and cream gift making class, and learn new skills while ticking a few gifts off your Christmas list. On this fun, daytime class you will make two festive fragranced glycerine soap recipes ‘melting and pouring’ them into themed moulds (think stars, gingerbread men, Christmas trees, snowmen…). After a break for lunch, and allowing time for your soaps to harden, you will blend organic carrot oil hand and body cream with your personal choice of seasonal scented essential oils. We will have a selection of seasonal wrapping paper, botanicals and embellishments available for you to wrap and adorn your hand made products so you will go home with a selection of ‘good to give’ gifts (or treats to keep for yourself!).
What's included in the price?
The price includes all materials and light refreshments. You are welcome to bring your own lunch to eat in our home-based workshop space, or perhaps pop out to one of the many nearby cafés, take-aways and supermarkets. We are a 10 minute walk from the St James Quarter shopping centre, and a few minutes walk from Broughton Street, George Street, Princes Street and other popular shopping streets if you want to squeeze in a little Christmas shopping while you're here!
5 hours (11:00am to 4:00pm)

The Arienas Collective supports local artists and makers to earn a living by sharing their creative skills and passions with others through delivering workshops. The workshops are run from our mews home in the beautiful Georgian New Town of central Edinburgh. We believe in the wellbeing benefits of engaging in creative activity, and our class sizes are kept small so that you get the support you need to make the most of your time with us. We teach you creative skills you can continue at home.
