I have been to the course a couple of times. I find the course very enjoyable, Diane the tutor is very helpful and informative. The course is value for money, set in beautiful scenery and parking available on site. Coffee /tea/herbal tea and biscuits are available. You have a good working space and choice of silver to suit your budget.
Diane is a fantastic teacher and has helped me make some lovely pieces of jewellery. I've met some lovely people in the class and I'd recommend this class to anyone.
My daughter and I had a fantastic day with Diane. We learned a lot of new skills, I didn't think I would be able to make something that was good enough to actually wear!! But I did, and I have worn my pendant a lot!! We are both hoping to join Diane again. Many thanks for such a great day.
What a great day. Diane was so helpful and taught lots in a very relaxed manner. Very supportive and puts you in control so you come away with a definite sense of achievement. Who knew sawing could be so therapeutic!
Will be going back for more!
Thank you Diane
Response from DianeLeeSilver:Hi Edna - thanks for the nice review (and I'm delighted you share the enjoyment of sawing!). You will be most welcome at supported bench time! Cheerio Diane
No time-wasting on this course. A real hands on experience of processes and techniques and lots of help to produce something satisfyingly wearable at the end of the day.
Thank you Diane.
Response from DianeLeeSilver:Thanks Carole for your kind words - it's true, it is a fairly fast moving day this is why we need the endless supply of tasty biscuits & lots of tea. I'm so glad you enjoyed it & remember you are now eligible for supported bench time! Diane
Had a great day, learnt loads, really good introduction to the basics, nice atmosphere, lovely and helpful tutor. Going back to a guided workshop session very soon!
Response from DianeLeeSilver:Thank you Jennifer not only for your kind review, but also for your company on the day. I'm so glad you had a good time & look forward to seeing you in a supported benchtime session. I'm looking to put on just a few eventing sessions during the Summer.
Diane's class was so enjoyable and a lot of fun. We learnt so many new skills and was able to produce a variety of lovely silver jewellery. Being in a small group gave us opportunity to learn in our own time. Diane was incredibly patient and helpful. One of the best days I've had in ages. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to go again.
Response from DianeLeeSilver:Hi Sam, thank you so much for your lovely review , I'm so glad you enjoyed the day & you would be most welcome to join us again. :D
Diane was a fabulous tutor, extremely knowledgeable and wonderful fun. It was a very enjoyable day and though I had some prior experience it gave me confidence afresh that I was doing things the right way with added tips to take home to make things a little easier! Diane offers a bench scheme and once I have enough pieces in the bag I will be following up to attend a few of those sessions.
I can't thank Diane enough for her company and guidance.
I attended one of the one day silversmith courses run by Diane, I really enjoyed it and learnt lots of useful tips and techniques. Diane is a brilliant teacher and I am looking forward to doing another of her courses.
I choose the course to refresh skills I last used many years ago, as I have had requests at home, to have a go at making simple silver jewellry.
Diane lead us thru the process of decorating and then forming a ring, first from copper, then we could use our new skills to make a second piece in silver.
At every step through the process, Diane included firemen or the gods of soldering, offering fresh pointers to help our efforts to be successful.
I enjoyed the course so much that I have since ordered the few tools I need to continue at home.
I went to the class with no previous experience of working with jewellery and thoroughly enjoyed it. I got a lot out of the day course and I feel Diane did a really good job of helping all of us individually. A great teacher
I really enjoyed the day and love the rings i made. The class was excellent. Everything explained really well and well coached. Loved meeting Diane she was great .
A great workshop for beginners. We covered a whole range of skills and ended up with two wearable pieces of jewellery so sense of achievement was really high.
Diane was great at explaining, showing and encouraging. She is great fun too.
I came along with my sister just for a fun and creative day which is exactly what we had.
I loved this course, it was great insight to lots of different techniques. Diane was patient and helpful every step of the way and we took hope some brilliant peices of work!!
The Course exceeded my expectations, especially as it was an Introduction to Silver Jewellery. Diane was an amazing tutor and supported the whole group throughout the day. I learnt all the techniques and processes to make my own ring and matching bangle - I love them! Great course, tutor and setting 5*
I bought my wife this as a present and thought I should attend to make a day of it despite having no real interest in jewellery making. However I must say that as the day progressed I found myself completely engrossed and fascinated by it. Diane was excellent, taking things at just the right speed and explaining each process in detail. She is clearly passionate about Silversmithing and that rubbed off on the rest of us. Highly recommended
I really enjoyed my beginners course with Diane. There were only 5 in the class so we all got personal support and didn't feel at all rushed throughout the lovely relaxed day. I learned loads and am looking forward to doing another course soon.
What a brilliant day! Dianne is an excellent teacher, very knowledgeable and talented. The group was friendly and supportive. Highly recommended.
Just back from THE most amazing day here!
On arrival we were in awe of the studio. It's a well stocked aladins cave and I felt like a kid in a sweet shop.
There were five of us in the workshop, and we all hit it off straight away, with one another and Diane.
Diane is a lovely, friendly and welcoming lady, with an amazing talent. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable in her craft, but she can teach those skills to a bunch of novices and ensure that they take home stunning pieces of their very own handcrafted metal work jewellery.
Can't wait for more dates as I'm definitely booking a return visit!
Brilliant class - couldn't have asked for better! 4 of us in the class and by the end, we were laughing and joking like we'd know each other all our lives. It was such a lovely atmosphere :) I'm a bit of a wuss when it comes to sawing/drilling (basically using anything that could potentially hurt me if things went awry!) but thanks to the support and expert guidance from Diane, by the end I was happily sawing and drilling away with the rest (and gazing lovingly at my new rings and earrings!)
It was a fantastic day and I would honestly recommend it to anyone :)
Thanks Diane, it was well worth the long trip ;D
Myself and 4 friends attended a half-day version of the workshop and we all had an absolutely fantastic time! Diane is a brilliant teacher and explained everything very clearly and patiently. We were all proud and quite amazed with what we were able to achieve in just 3 hours, being complete novices. What better way to spend quality time with friends than learning something new together and creating beautiful pieces of jewellery to remember the day by. I think we've all got the bug and will be back again! Thanks Diane for making the workshop so fun and enjoyable!
A really interesting day.
It was good to try a new skill and to do so in such a helpful and supportive environment.
This is the second silver jewellery making course I have attended with Diane who is a friendly, patient and knowledgeable tutor. She demonstrates and explains techniques clearly using copper and you end the course producing lovely silver earrings, pendants or rings, of your own design with her expert guidance. A very enjoyable days workshop.
I completed a one day Silversmith Course run by Diane. There are not enough superlatives to adequately describe this lady and her mountain of knowledge. Excellent teacher, patient, kind, and witty. She made me want to pursue jewellery making further, and I will definitely be attending more of her amazing Workshops.
I took myself and my 17 year old daughter to one of Diane's silversmithing courses. It was a fun packed day with a lot of techniques explained and demonstrated very clearly. We came away very pleased with ourselves with a couple of rings each.
I joined the class as an absolute beginner, and by the end of the session, I feel I have learnt the basics needed for me to work on simple projects on my own. Diane is an excellent teacher -- her explanations were clear and tailored her instruction to the ability of her students. I thoroughly enjoyed the session and am pleased to be the proud owner of my first 3 creations -- a bracelet, a neckless and a charms for another neckless. I would definitely recommend the course to anyone who wants to have a go at beading.
Excellent one to one tuition - Diane taught to my skill level and tailored the course to suit me and what I wanted to achieve. Very informative teaching style with a lot of patience. Would recommend to everyone - a beginner or those wanting to improve techniques. Thanks for a lovely morning!
I attended a silversmithing course with Diane. I absolutely love my ring and feel very proud that I made it myself. Diane was a great teacher – very clear instructions and a fun delivery. I will definitely recommend her to my friends!
