Introduction to Wire Weaving

An introduction to weaving with wire and incorporating sea glass or cabochons into your designs. This is a beginner's course and all materials are included. Sea Glass, a distinctive medium found on beaches worldwide, holds a fascinating history. Once crafted by humans from sand and later discarded, the mystery of its journey into the sea remains. Through the rhythmic dance of waves and the gentle embrace of pebbles over decades, this discarded glass transforms into exquisite sea jewels, unveiling themselves along the shoreline to be discovered by those with a keen eye. Embark on an enjoyable and laid-back workshop where you'll delve into the world of sea glass—learning about its origins, exploring rare types and hues, and mastering the art of weaving wires to create intricate settings for these ocean-born treasures. By the end of the workshop, you'll leave with not only newfound knowledge but also a unique creation, reminiscent of the individuality that defines you. Kindly note that, due to the use of wire cutters and wire, this workshop is not recommended for children under 12 years old.
