Description

This is a new class for an eye-catching feature in mosaic sculpture! Create a welcome addition to your garden, wall or entrance with shiny elegance. You will gain skills in how to design mosaic patterns, and how to cut and adhere glass tiles, beads and shapes. You will learn flat sculpting techniques by moulding a shape of your own design from an A3 cement base. The day workshop is £40. There will be a half hour break option where you can buy snacks from the nearby shop. By the end of the workshop you will take away your very own garden gem, and will be given grout to apply at home, once the adhesive has set. Your personalised masterpiece can be hung to a wall or fence, or add a garden stake for £1.50. All is included in this session, but bring a bag to take your art home. This class is suitable for all abilities. Age 16+

Plenty of materials so lots to choose from and if you couldn't find exactly what you needed Chrissy would bring out even more stuff! I didn't think I'd get the hang of it at first but in the end I was pleased with what I made (a garden tile) and I will definitely be displaying it in my back garden."

"I booked this class as a gift to my Dad for Christmas and I am very glad I did. The price is very reasonable for what you get. Chrissy is very laid back and friendly and makes sure you are comfortable and welcome by offering a drink etc. The quality of instruction and materials is very high resulting in even amateur crafters such as myself being able to produce a great mosaic. The only warning I would give is that the workshop is quite small and therefore there isn't ample space for someone to move around if they have mobility issues or trouble sitting in one position for a long time. I am looking to book in again with Chrissy to try out her other workshops."
