Course Start DatesSaturday 18th January 2020
About the Course
Will has been teaching glass blowing for many years. You may have seen him on Inside The factory, Kirstie's Homemade Home and Kirstie's Homemade Christmas teaching Kirstie Allsopp, or in the national newspapers.
Our taster class: this taster class will give you an opportunity to try your hand at blowing a small clear glass vessel and dish, and experience the unique problems that working with molten glass pose. It will include basic glassmaking techniques such as marvering and blowing.
Classes are usually held on Saturday mornings and start at 9.30am. Classes are approximately 3 1/2 hours long.
You can keep everything that you make, although you will not be able to take it home with you on the day because it has to anneal overnight.
Class details - maximum 4 people, throughout the year. We show some up and coming dates but these may have only one place available or be fully booked.
We try to keep sessions flexible. If you can organize your own group of four people for any session we can often teach on a different night or a particular day.
Please note that if you have any health issues or hearing impediment of any kind it would be advisable to contact us. We do reserve the right to not teach you if we feel it is unsafe to do so. Students must be 18 years old or over.
Terms and conditions: please see our website or contact us.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
All materials are included.
Not included - your glass pieces need to cool before they can be collected. Alternatively we can send them to you and charge £10 per person.
Thankyou Will for a really fabulous morning learning how to blow glass. Whilst safety was paramount at all times, the morning was great fun, and you are a great teacher giving us information and tips, helping where necessary, and giving us lots of encouragement. Thankyou again for a very happy and memorable time.
