Would you like to know how to add gemstones to your jewellery? This is the class for you! We will be creating a silver pendant with a round gemstone in a bezel setting. This is a simple but effective way of adding stones to your jewellery designs. We will start with the difficult choice of what stone to use - the hardest part of the day! Then we will create the setting from silver and solder this to a background, this can be cut into a shape if you like. We will discuss ways to add a chain and then set the stone, making sure it is nice and secure before sending you on your way to show off your new creation. I have allowed a full day for this class to be able to take it slowly, so if you have no previous experience, don't let that put you off. It would be the perfect follow on class from any of my taster classes if you've got the jewellery making bug. We will take an hour for lunch, you are welcome to bring something with you and eat in the hall or pop out into Pocklington, there are supermarkets around the corner and some lovely cafés in town.

I will have a selection of stones available for you to chose from and all materials are included in the course fee. All tools are provided so you just need to arrive ready to make something beautiful.

Maker
Tori has been making jewellery since her teens, starting with beads and mixed media pieces. After a short course in metal clay, she began working with silver and gemstones and this is where she now specialises. You can find her work on her website and in stores in York and Beverley. Tori has taught at London Jewellery School and at evening classes in Yorkshire and is now running her own sessions in Pocklington.
