A fabulous opportunity to try your hand at silversmithing. In this full day silversmithing you will spend the first part looking at different techniques. Measuring for a ring, sizing, sawing, filing, soldering, shaping and forming, pickle and polishing. By the end of the workshop you will have several finished pieces of jewellery to wear & enjoy. You will work in copper first. Next you can try hand stamping so that a message can be written or patterning can be created. In the full day you will have enough silver to complete one or more of the following: - A set of stacking rings - A spinning ring - A couple of bangles - A pair of earrings You will float out of the studio with solid silver items to be proud of. If you are Speedy Gonzales and have time left, you are more than welcome to make additional items should there be time. We simply ask for the cost of any additional silver needed. But don't forget you will need to squeeze in slices of all our delicious freshly baked cakes as well as our homemade lunch. Teas, cold drinks and coffee from our wonderful bean to cup coffee machine are available all day, and maybe a little glass of bubbly before you leave us for the day.
