About the Course

Imagine going to an event this year and proud as punch wearing your fascinator, telling everyone, "I made this!"

Create your very own fascinator in this one day workshop in my home studio in Kings Heath, Birmingham.

You can learn lots of techniques using a fabulous material called sinamay, available in loads of gorgeous colours, as well as veiling, beads and wire and crinoline.

You can learn how to make:
- Roses
- Lillies
- Bows & loops
- Leaves
- Buttercups
- 'Feathers'

Never sewn before? No problem! I'll be there every step of the way to instruct and guide you. Want to make a fascinator in a particular colour? No problem! Just let me know at least 7 days in advance and I can make sure you have just the colours you like.

Suitable for beginners & suitable for vegans! Booking in advance is essential.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

I thoroughly enjoyed my day at Warrillow Studios. In the well equipped workshop, bursting with inspiration from Rachel’s masterpieces on display, I learnt numerous techniques, which I used to create my own fascinator. Rachel was friendly and knowledgeable and I left with all the information and skills needed to continue to make my own creations at home.

Yes, I absolutely would recommend! Rachel is a brilliant teacher who is generous with her time, is patient and clearly has a great deal of knowledge and skill to offer to students in these workshops.

My friend and I attended yesterday and had a wonderful day. It was relaxing and fun, we were made to feel very welcome and were very surprised at what we were able to achieve.

I highly recommend these workshops, if you want something fun and different to do, I loved it! 😍 Thank you Rachel x

We all had a great day last Saturday (7th Sept) in Leeds. Rachel, is a fantastic instructor and created a lovely cohesive, relaxing atmosphere to learn and create.
I have never worked with sinamay before, or made flowers. But on the day I was able create a finished fascinator, which I am happy to wear. I now have the confidence and information to create many more, knowing Rachel is on hand by email.
Thank you Rachel.
I would recommend this course to anyone who is interested.
