Description
On this one day course we will be using rush and will be learning square work on wooden blocks to make a small bag. Choose from a selection of square and oblong blocks to make your basket on. You might want to choose a larger block to make a small rush bag, or a smaller block and then also have time to make a lid. This rush is harvested on the Somerset levels and is a wonderfully soft and aromatic material to use. Jane will gently guide you through the process and you will be able to weave your own beautiful and bespoke rush bag to take home. All tools and materials provided. Please wear warm old clothing. Tutor: Jane Welsh.
