About the Course
These spirals, from a material called crinoline make a fantastic impact on fascinators and hats!
Crinoline comes in many different colours, and when used with wire they can create a wonderful, sculptural creation.
Come along to this workshop to learn this technique and make your very own, one-of-a-kind creation!
This workshop is suitable for beginners, and also for those of you who have attended any of my workshops previously, but please note there is a significant amount of hand-sewing! It’s a simple running stitch, but it does take time, so you need to be able to enjoy that too!
All materials and tools will be provided on the day, and I will supply all the links for materials if you wish to purchase more for your own use.
Suitable for beginners & suitable for vegans!
Never sewn before? No problem! I'll be there every step of the way to instruct and guide you.
Booking in advance is essential.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
All materials and equipment are included.
About the venue: There is space for one car on the driveway and street parking available just outside. We are accessible by bus, on the 50 route from Birmingham city centre, or the 76 from Solihull.
We do have a downstairs toilet, but there is a step into the house through the porch. Please contact me with any access enquiries.
Tea, coffee, cold drinks and biscuits will be available on the day, but you will need to bring your lunch with you.
I bought a private workshop for mum (and myself) as a Mothering Sunday present. I could honestly not have bought a better present and we both had a wonderful day. Rachel is lovely, and we thoroughly enjoyed her company. She is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and happy to share that knowledge
We are both absolutely over the moon with our fascinators and look forward to wearing them. We will both be looking to book further workshops with Rachel in the future and could honestly not have wished for a better teacher

Rachel was an excellent trainer and enthusiastic about sharing her knowledge and skills. I thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and would definitely recommend it, even to anyone who is not particularly creative. If I could go home with a fascinator I'd wear anyone can!

What a wonderful day. The lady who ran the course was amazing from first enquiry right through to the minute we left.
I had loads of questions before we arrived about times dates parking etc and she answered all of them so thoughtfully.
The course was amazing and she was so happy and enthusiatic about her craft happily sharing and helping.
I made a fascibator i would be happy to wear to a function but more than that feel I would be able to make others in the future.
It was such an amazing day would highly recommend.

Well, what can I say?! I really had the loveliest day with Rachel. I have been really fed up and uninspired and I left absolutely buzzing. I can't wait to make more fascinators!
Rachel has such a wonderful energy and was so patient and lovely, so generous and taught so many skills very clearly. Instruction was at just the right pace, and Rachel really built my confidence. Learning was such a pleasure!
Everybody loves my fascinator, I think I may even have my first order for a wedding in October, so I'd better get practising!!
I would definitely take another workshop with Rachel. Highly recommended
