Monday afternoons 11, 18, 25 Jan, 1, 8 Feb 4.30-6pm. Held on Zoom plus Whatsapp q&a support throughout.
This is a 5 week course intended for children aged 8 and up who would like to make their own doll. It would be good to have an adult in the background to help with the trickier sections.
On this course you will create a handmade waldorf doll in a choice of skin and eye colours, using all natural materials including organic stuffing wool. We will shape the head with tubular bandage and binding string, sew on the face fabric with minimal wrinkles, embroider the simple features and sew the hair into a crocheted cap.
You will be well supported in a small group led by an experienced doll maker and teacher of over 30 similar workshops. Beginners are welcome.
If you will be redeeming a CraftCourses gift voucher on this course, the voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
There will be 7 hours of teaching time plus support on the whatsapp group during the week.
You will be sent a parcel with all materials included except for yarn for your doll's hair which you should choose and buy yourself.
We use clean organic UK wool for stuffing, good quality cotton tricot for skin fabric and all natural materials.
You will come away with a finished doll but clothes will need to be either purchased or made later, basic doll clothes patterns can be provided.
A little adult supervision is useful, there will be some homework between sessions

Really excellent course over 2 days, full on and exhausting but the standard of teaching from Mopsa was impressive, she was generous in sharing her expertise, knowledge and experience to ensure we ended up with dolls that were to a professional standard, amazing and gorgeous. It's also fab to spend the day with lovely women, chatting and sewing with a lovely atmosphere. Such an enjoyable 2 days, great value for money and I am looking forward to knitting a jumper in May. Thanks Mopsa.
Mopsa was wonderful, so helpful and knowledgeable on the making of the dolls, very patient with all of us ladies asking her questions at the same time. I had a fabulous time, met five other lovely ladies making a doll. All of our dolls are excellent thanks to us and Mopsa. The course, I feel, is very reasonably priced, worth every penny.
Here's to my next doll.
The course was great and I love my doll (she exceeded my expectations). My daughter absolutely loves her too even though she's not a 'dolly' sort of girl.
Mopsa is an excellent and very patient teacher and loves what she does.
I can highly recommend.
I had a fabulous time on this course. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was enjoyable and fun. I am so pleased with my doll. Mospa, who is the tutor is great at what she does. She is funny, and has the patience of a saint.
Money well spent.
