Copperplate for beginners - regular classes

Here is a great opportunity to study COPPERPLATE with Julie Chaney live online via Zoom.

The lessons are on Saturday mornings, every other week, starting at 11am and lasting for 2 hours.

They are aimed at absolute beginners and those who are learning the fundamentals of the alphabet and wish to continue. The informal sessions are built around the ability levels of the students taking part.

These are stand alone sessions and students can join on any date and for any number of classes. However, regular attendance is encouraged for steady improvement.

Exercises and practice suggestions are provided. Students may email images of their work to me prior to the session for discussion with the group. Active writing during the lesson is optional.

We cover:
- advice on tools & techniques, setting up and ruling lines
- guidance on letter construction, shapes, heights, joining, spacing, variations, etc
- review of student work
- live demonstrations
- general discussion and feedback

I’m happy to answer any questions.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?

I offer many exemplars and worksheets for printing at home (A4) and also suggest exercises to aid progress.

A link to join the Zoom session will be sent ahead of each workshop.
